The image of Pekka leaving the ice, whipped was deflating. I'm in LV and have been knocked off balance a couple of times by some quips from Pens fans. Tbh, It'd be like trying to throw some insults at Pats fans for them liking the best team in the sport. The closest my Uber could get us was the Renaissance. We had to walk from there and we walked down to rock bottom and watched the game in the rooftop there. It was just nuts. Now imagine the Titans in the Super Bowl, and I think you'd have twice the number of people. Even with it being cold as balls in he middle of February. He was a Ducks fan, but still wants Nashville to win. Interesting, he said that's the only pro team Nashville has isn't it. I told him the Titans play there. Number9 Posted June 4, 2017 Report Share Posted June 4, 2017 I think the Preds got home and felt the Nashville Ice energy. They played like they played the first game when they started out smothering the Pens. Losing that first game after out skating them had to be a letdown. Then somehow after the best hockey I have seen in the first period of the second game-the Pens score a barrage of goals to start the second period. Then the bullying starts. It just looked like they were defeated. They always say the rested team isn't always at an advantage. If they can come out and soundly beat the Pens again, it's on. The Pens are well coached and seem to make the adjustments they need too. It's good the Preds have just as good a coach. He knows how to handle this team in big spots. And this is the big show. The Preds have paved the way as a successful business model and the Titans have been paying attention to that very closely. The Titans very nearly lost the fanbase that has been so loyal since the move to Nashville. The sellout streak ended. The team became a punchline, winning 5 games in two years.The Preds have primed the pump for a good Titans playoff run. The city is vibrant and ready. It was a few years ago (When Tommy Smith was hired) where there were a lot of people talking about how the Titans need to follow what the Preds have done in terms of once you get a fan inside the stadium, they will be a die-hard for life.
