Jonboy
I posted a scouting report of the Titans on the Chiefs reddit page and have received a few comments back about how they view our team. Thought you all may be interested. - I think we are a more talented team by a country mile BUT you guys do match up well with us. Your strengths (strong running game) can take advantage of our biggest weakness (run defense, especially now that DJ is out) and we don't really have vertical passing game to take advantage of your biggest weakness (terrible corners). Smith has been slinging it deep the last couple weeks and I hope he continues, because I think we'll need to attack your secondary in order to win. I'm a little nervous about this game - Any game against the Chiefs is NOT an obvious loss or win. - You are #3 Rushing in the league, our run D is devastated. This is going to be a tough game any way that you slice it. - It will very likely come down to how well you guys run the ball. I imagine we will stack the box and dare you to pass. I can see Henry giving us problems. It will likely come down to interior line play. Poe and DJ Alexander will have to step up, Ramik is solid. Houston and Hali are great at setting an edge so it's unlikely that you'll get anything out wide. Peters will likely shut down one half the of the field for the most part. The other half will be up and down. Steven Nelson is good in the slot, and can cover some receivers on the outside. Terrance Mitchell just had the game of his life last Thursday, so it'll be between him and Gaines (who hasn't seen much action since being burnt by Denver). The X factor is Tyreek Hill. He is special in the return game, but has surprised on offense. He has one of the best catch rates in the NFL, and can do more than just stretch the field vertically. He gets involved in the run game as well. Kelce is red hot right now with 4 straight 100 yard games, and will be looking to eclipse 1000 yards for the year this week. Don't forget about Jeremy Maclin. Spencer Ware has cooled off after a hot start, but could re-emerge soon. It may be our interior line play, but Ware has lacked the big plays we saw from the beginning of the year. He's still capable of churning out 4-5 yard runs and wearing a defense down. - You guys should be very excited about your team going forward. Mariota is looking extremely promising and your offense is loaded with weapons. I feel like you're primed to potentially control the AFC South in the coming years. I assume the focus now is on drafting defensive talent? - Most of these comments are great. The one thing the Titans have to remember is they will not only have to defend against the Run and Pass, but the punt, the kick off, the defensive scoring and of course Arrowhead itself. https://www.reddit.com/r/KansasCityChiefs/comments/5hxq8p/titans_scouting_report_from_the_other_side/

freakingeek
We've made the sports media talk about us. It's pretty amazing the turnaround we've experienced in a year. It's fun to be a fan again. That said KC is going to be a tough SOB.
THE_TITAN
We have to outphysical them. Be smart on special teams and kick it out of bounds. Dial up the blitz and get to Smith early. Run it down the middle and take advantage over the top with some deep play action. If, somehow, we are up in the 2nd half we need to keep our foot on the gas and let Mariota sling it. I think if we let Mariota sling it a bit more yesterday against the Broncos then we would've won by double digits.
AvgJoe
Ok I'll say it: I am more concerned that we beat the Chiefs and lose against the Jaguars to fuck it all up. I know, I know. But that's my concern.

I know, I know. But that's my concern. You know, at this point, there are no more moral victories. Wins and losses in and of themselves don't matter anymore. It's Make or Miss Playoffs. That's it. Compared to hoping you lose for draft position, beating a rival as a spoiler (Jags vs us), or simply not giving a rat's ass.

terradawg
Special teams scares me more than anything else in this one, but from what I have seen of the Chiefs this year they seem like clearly the better team.

Meow
It's going to be a high of 15 degrees on Sunday in KC. Cold conditions favor physical teams. I think both are physical, but the Chiefs don't have 2 starter quality RB's. Heck I don't even think they have 1. Can't imagine anybody will be looking forward to trying to tackle 6'3 245 lb Derrick Henry coming at them full speed a couple dozen times. Crowd will be a factor, cold will be a factor. Will be tough to win, but I think the Titans can.
