March 9 (Reuters) - Amazon.com Inc said on Wednesday its board approved a 20-for-1 split of the company's common stock.

I'm increasing my position immediately.  People want this stock.  It's difficult to own just one share of a company.  Now, 5K will get you 20 shares.  I'm also adding to Google based off this news.

Dollar General was the fastest growing company on the market in the 1990's.  The stock sold for 28.  Every time it reached 34-36, the split it 5/4.  Not many new shares, but in three months they would split it again, over and over.  They created a lot of millionaires in Nashville.  They were located in some little town in KY.

Yall think Ukraine/gas/interest rate hikes are bad, wait until all the households that just bought a house over budget start paying student loans again. In a recent survey, 93% of respondents said they didn't think they were able to continue paying.

Add on to that the reduced spending capacity of households that blew through their Covid $ (even if they paid off consumer debt they'll remax those cards).

We will be lucky if Biden post pones those student loan payments until after mid terms (which I suspect he might.)

Options open interest is definitely painting a story for a bloody March into April (1st and 2nd hikes expected). The SPY April 14th 350 puts have an open interest of 168k.

If Covid didn't happen, we'd be on a trendline for SPY 380 right now. I expect that last 10% to get close, but breaking SPY 400 would be a hard mental leap.

It’s been a bloodbath for me this week. I was initially excited to buy some discounted stocks, but instead had an unexpected costly emergency to pay for.

Now instead of excitement for this buying opportunity, I’m just left with sadness this week ha

2022 started out kinda shitty for me - with a big drop only a few days into the year, but by early February I was looking ok and by last Friday I was up about +90% from the start of this year.

After the past 2 days, I’m down to only +10% YTD. Still feel good, and expect it to turn around, but yes, a shitty week indeed.
