TitanDuckFan
Better to be unabashed about the obvious wrong than to show weakness and admit it. I know some folks that need that on their headstones,.........
oldschool
Man, don't anybody dare swing over to the positive side around here,... Oldschool steps up and says he was wrong about a few things concerning MM, that were part of the (misguided) narrative about the kid coming out, and he's getting blasted for believing what his eyes now tell him, instead of the drivel written and spoken by the Skip Bayless wannabes. smDh At least OS has the stones to admit it. Unlike some of the "experts" at ESPN etc. No one is blasting me and even if they were I wouldn't give a shit. I own my mistakes and always have. Pragidealist
It's OK to admit wrong, it's flip flopping when you don't admit wrong and try to weasel out of it. But generally, the ones who are right are the ones who know their limits. Unfortunately, the ones who make declarative statements ... right or wrong ... are the ones who get attention. ESPN figured this out and make a whole show around it. Well, good to know. Personally, I'm never wrong; just sometimes less right than I intended. Pragidealist
I think you may have missed Jamal's point. He wasn't taking a shot at me. hmm yeah... probably did then. With you two, I just assume. lol Edit: I think I've been away from the board too long and no longer have all the old arguments and context. The point still eludes me. ;-)
TitanedUpSince'70
I still wake up some mornings with a smile on my face because somehow in hell we drafted this Mariota guy. When the Titans picked him my mouth dropped open and then I yelled "holy shit!". My g/f asked what's wrong, and I said "we got Mariota!" And then soon after I started a thread about Oman fleeing the forum. lol I can hardly hold back my homerism for this guy sometimes, but I'll tell ya straight up, since I've been a Titans fan I've never had the feeling I have now for any of our QBs in the past 45 years. Just hope we can build around him because it would be such a waste of talent if we can't.

AvgJoe
For me, it was the hangover effect of taking Locker and Young that did not make me want to pass on a DE like Williams. I loved Marcus' collegiate talent and mental makeup, I just did not want the Titans to be burnt again. I also didn't want the "he's a good kid" thing to be the argument that determined whether or not we drafted him that I kept bringing up with Locker. But we made the absolute right call with Marcus

NashvilleNinja
Maybe Leonard's agent will pull a Dumervil and we can snatch him up off free agency...
Pragidealist
Too busy watching the Minor League Soccer? Nah I don't watch USL Some fantastic MLS going on this year though. The galaxy look fantastic since adding Dos Santos and Llegget. I'm looking forward to seeing who the call ups are for the international games coming up this September. I'm hoping for Lletget, Nagbe and Zalelem.
MIKE75
Crazy thing about Locker is he is 11-25 in college and 9-19 in the pros for a 20-44 record altogether. Locker even in college had the issues with pocket skills, accuracy, injuries, etc. One year he completed around 45% of his passes. He never won any major awards and went to one minor bowl game in college. Certain things you either have or you don't and Locker couldn't hit the broad side of a barn so it doesn't matter where he would've went or who he played for he didn't have the skills. The guy never even moved his family here that tells me he didn't plan on being here long. Truth be known i think he had a plan after a certain point where he knew he wasn't cutting it as an NFL QB so he took what he made those four years and went home a happy and rich man. At a certain point the writing was on the wall and he knew he didn't have what it takes. His last resort was to play his kind of ball where he ad libs and runs all over the place and when Whisenhunt let him know he wasn't gonna allow it Locker pretty much knew he was done. socaltitan
Thank you Tampa for taking Jameis Winston with the 1st pick..... I think I'm making them my 2nd favorite team just for that reason lol. I'm definitely cringing a little if I'm a Bucs fan. They passed on Mariota.
