If we trade back for picks, who would you be happy coming away with?

FWIW Mike Freeman wrote an article on Bleacher Report & said he spoke to 4 GM's who said they think we'll trade the pick, another said 50-60%, another said he thinks it's a near certainty, and another said we've made it clear the pick is up for sale. I think it's obvious we're trying to trade the pick, this comes out right after Wiz slobbers all over Mariota.

I prefer Mettenberger anyway, throw in a few 1sts & 2nd's. SCORE!

It would be unfair for me to advocate for trading down and not at least add my input to this topic.  I would surely trade down for draft choices given the opportunity. No vets for me!  I picked Cleveland as the most likely victim but I see as many as 7 teams that could be willing to trade up.  Not all of them would be looking at Mariota.  For example, I could see Oakland moving up for the top WR or even Williams.  In doing this exercise, I didn't attempt to zone in on specific needs at a specific point but looked to place a quality player in that slot to demonstrate how much talent would likely be on the board.  I was very conservative in determining how many picks the Titans might get from the Browns.  In reality they might get more or even less. The trade would go like this: Titans trade #2 pick to Cleveland for #s12,19,43, and 77.  Add that to #33 and #66 that Titans possess and we have 6 picks in the first three rounds or other wise stated as 6 in the top 77 picks. One way the picks might go would be #12 Waynes CB,#19 Malcolm Brown DT,#33 Clemmings OT,#43 Coates WR,#66 Randall S,#77 O'Leary TE.  Of course they are all debatable but that's not a bad result.

If you were the GM of your favorite @nfl team, which '15 prospect would you trade up to get? #draftprep

Based on the answers I've been receiving the past 10 mins.. There's a lot of love for Amari Cooper, Leonard Williams & Kevin White

Pass rusher.

Who depends on how far we trade down; plus I can't tell where the top 5 guys will go. I like Beasley, Fowler, Gregory, Ray. I'd love Shelton, but I don't know if the Titans would even consider him.

While I think WR is a possibility, I personally hope they wait until later. Waynes would be on my radar if we played like we did last year, but I don't think he fits Lebeau enough to warrant the high pick.

Otherwise, I'd want future picks to keep building.

Rivers, Bradford or Cutler. Only way I'd trade back then I don't give a dam who they picked. OLB or some special talent at another position. WR?

I was suspicious as soon as Whiz started talking about Mariota being a day 1 starter so long before the draft

A deal where we could grab Shelton would be intriguing, Argumentatively you can make the case that Shelton improves our Dline nearly as much as Williams; if he takes the majority of snaps at NT, it frees up SLH to spell/supplant Pitoitua along with backing Shelton up. Add in Morgan and Klug available in 4 down passing situations and you have an awesome DL rotation. If we could end up with Shelton and an elite WR like Perriman, I'd be up for it.

Pass rushers, period

Some are discounting the edge rushers because of the money we spent on Morgan & Orakpo but these guys coming out are supposed to be really good & you can never have enough pass rushers. I remember a while back the Giants got criticized because they kept drafting DE's & then they got to the Super Bowl & their front 4 destroyed the Pats.

I like all the fancy blitzes Horton/LeBeau do but you're not going to fool the best QB's with that stuff, you have to get pressure with 4 guys to beat them.

It's basic math.

No one is discounting edge rushers.
