Same here, and I do not think there was 1st round QB talent in this draft besides possibly Bridgewater (although for a west coast offense, he was a 1st round talent probably.) After watching his film, reading reports, etc., absent his injury and back problems, I think Mettenberger was the best QB prospect in this draft. IowaOiler Posted May 18, 2014 Report Share Posted May 18, 2014 If Mett graded out as a 4th rd talent, yet we didn't take him until the 6th, I would still imagine Jones, Huff, and Williamson all graded out higher than Mett. Any possibility that Mett turns into an elite player would be considered less than those three, at least according to our scouting department, coaching staff, and front office. Mett didn't drop necessarily because of size or talent concerns, it was more head and body concerns.
