tgo
In that case their plan worked flawlessly. Haha exactly. I was actually alarmed by that during the week. We suck at stopping the run when we try, much less when it's not a focus.

cenj
The CJ/Greene argument also doesn't make any sense -- not to mention it's misleading. Game context is important here First half, Greene gets 5 carries. He has a huge run through a wide open hole. CJ also has a 23 yard pass gain, plus his 6 carries for crap. We score 21 points are are shockingly in the lead. 2nd half, Green gets 3 more carries for 14 yards (4.66 avg). CJ gets 6 carries for 34 yards (5.66 avg). Basically the same distribution -- that's how it's been all season. CJ is the starter, Greene spells him. CJ outperformed Greene and was actually running the ball well, so the criticizing the coaches for sticking with the starting RB for an extra 2-3 carries is just silly. Besides, what's key here is the game situation: Denver got the ball back at half and scored. Next series, we run CJ once, throw once, then Fitz is intercepted. Another Denver TD. Suddenly we're down 2 TDs despite only 3 plays on offense in the 2nd half. You can't play clock control anymore. Even then, after all that we drove down and scored another TD. We used a mix of run and pass. CJ had 3 carries for 23 yards, so it's hard to complain about his use on the drive. The problem was that Denver kept driving and had our number. We have a bad offensive series and CJ fumbles. No chance to catch up, and running game is done.
Omar
Greene did have a wide open hole on his td run, but it was refreshing to actually see a Titans RB run through a wide open hole...CJ would have bounced it back inside and fallen to the ground like he always does. Jd8
Greene was not running great. He had the 28 yard TD which was giving too him by great blocking. Any RB could have made that run. It was as easy hit the hole and jog to the Touchdown. That said without that run you are talking about a total of 15 yards. Great running? Lol you will say anything to make Johnson look bad. Johnson has made himself look bad he doesn't need you trying at every chance you get. Your vision is blurred because you see only what you want too see. Fix that and you'll be alright. cenj
OILERMAN
What does Munchak's fate anything to do with the Rams? Munchak is 1-19 against winning teams, he's lost like 11 straight division gakmes, is currently on a streak of losing 7 of 9 and very likely about to finish 6-10 for the 2nd year in a row. Maybe when Munchak goes before Tommy Smith he can point out what a bad season the Rams have had and see where that gets him. As for the CJ vs Greene stuff, the fact you are trying to explain why Greene outproduced CJ says it all. That debate is over. CJ is a complete flop, end of story. He was embarrassing against the Bronco's. BTW, Greene had a 10-12 yard loss on his final carry when Zitz dropped back to pass and gave the ball to Greene, that hurt his stat line otherwise he would have blown CJ's numbers away. And LOL @ everyone saying Greene just ran through a wide hole. That's not what people say when CJ does it. In fact one idiot said CJ had bad blocking against the Rams. Jamalisms
And LOL @ everyone saying Greene just ran through a wide hole. That's not what people say when CJ does it.No, that's exactly what people say. You most of all. That's why it's so strange. The only difference with CJ is if his speed/quickness takes a big hole and he makes even more of it. Then he did something on top of the hole. As an example, if that play was another five yards or the safety a few steps closer to start, Greene would have been caught. CJ would have extended it either way and in those cases it's not just a hole. In this case it pretty much was and fortunately Greene did his job. cenj
TF_Titan
Greene's 1 yard TD run was more impressive than anything CJ did all day. OILERMAN
cenj
There are plenty of legitimate criticisms with Munchak -- not being competitive this year just isn't one of them. The team has has played down to competition and blown games they should have put away. His record in those 3 years is damning and he deserves to be under fire for it; still doesn't change the fact the team has been competitive week in and week out during Munchak's 3rd season Edited December 11, 2013 by cenj SleepingTitan
Tex in a Can
I watched Frank Gore run through a hole last Sunday that was tiny and he did not lose speed. I've never seen CJ run through anything close to that sized hole.

Gee I guess that's why CJ has all of 4 runs over 20yds, a long of 30 and Jackie Battle has the longest RB carry of the season. Like somone posted, CJ likely screws that TD up by missing the hole or cutting into defenders

FRT
Then you didn't watch the Rams game this season. Come one, this guy is the top two or three paid guys at his position in the league and you have to go back 6 games? I hope the defend CJ folks have beat that dead horse to a pulp. Why not go back to 2008?
