scine09 Posted November 14, 2013 Report Share Posted November 14, 2013 In case anyone hasn't noticed, the Titans play a game tonight, and it is a mighty important game. As bad as last week was, it's over, and the Titans play a game tonight that can go a long way to deciding how the rest of the season plays out (if the Titans will be playing meaningful games or not). A win and they're 1 game behind the Colts with the opportunity in front of them to not only tie them but have them beat in the tie-breaker. A loss and the wild card is an absolute long shot and the division race is over. A win and a Jets loss this week and the Titans will be the #6 seed going into week 12. Last week was a joke, an embarrassment, whatever adjective you want to lose. But it's also in the past. The season is not over and the Titans still, as pathetic as it may sound, are almost in the drivers seat for a playoff berth if they can play mistake free football and play defense like they have in spurts. I think tonight is a winnable game because of how bad the Colts have looked recently. I'd lean towards the Colts simply because the Titans offense sucks and in a low scoring game I think Luck has a better chance of pulling it out. If our offensive line can pull it together and Fitz plays as well as he did last week (and not give the game away---should go without saying), then I think our offense can hold its own. Then it's up to our defense and depending on which one shows up, the great one or the shit one, determines the game. I think we can beat the Colts, it's really a matter of if we beat ourselves. I said this in March but I'll say it again. Fitz throws picks and commits turnovers when it matters the most. That's who he was in Buffalo, that's what he's done here. I'm hoping it will be Luck trying to score a TD against the Titans D in the final moments of this game. If it's the other way around I don't see Fitz pulling it off.
