Dude has more highlight plays in one year with the Ravens than most of our secondary has in their careers.

Well I guess this means the end for Donnie Nickey   Oh wait, that was a different coaching tenure...my bag.

It's not about scheme though. Gray already shared Williams playbook. It's all about playcalling and right now Gray is still the playcaller. It's very possible we see a more aggressive defense, but at

We better hope like hell the Defense generates turnovers and the offense learns to score quickly. Teams are going to go up and down the field on this defense with the way it's being constructed.

They're definitely going to need to be able to score. This defense is going to be very boom or bust. They're going to give up big plays but hopefully create them too.

The offense needs to be able to keep up until the defense forces that TO though.

No pass rush and the signing of in the box Safeties doesn't really address this team's biggest weakness. Pass defense.

Free agency and the draft go hand in hand. If the Titans draft Barkevious Mingo in the first round and someone like Johnthan Banks in the second round then it would greatly complement what they've done so far. Still a lot of veterans left in free agency too.

yeah but i doubt that happens. Mingo is a possibility but I'm not sure if it's a high probability.

the most expensive defensive players in FA are pass rushers and CB's. This draft happens to be pretty deep at DE, S, and CB.

I don't think free agency so far is an indication of us subscribing to one method of defense. I think it is just fillling in the holes in the cheapest and most efficient way so that we can draft guys to be big-time playmakers and to groom.

It looks to me like they are trying to be as deep and as versatile as possible.

Just speaking hypothetically. If the corner and defensive end positions are considered weaknesses then there's plenty of talent / opportunity in the draft to address it.

they had a private workout with mingo

they were the first team to call him and bring him in

there's definitely some interest there

I'm fine with mingo as along as we get a run-stuffing DE.

Mingo's combine numbers compare favorably to jevon kearse and the FO (or coaches... can't remember which) mentioned a few times this offseason what a difference kearse made when he could just come in and play as a rookie.

i would like mingo to add about 20 lbs... or for them to draft ansah as he is bigger and probably even closer to kearse in "freakishness"
