It was widely reported pre-draft how much Vrabel loved Levis and the amount of time he spent with him while the Titans were vetting him.   Somewhat ironically it was Russini driving how much

It was probably his love for Russini

I don't understand how he has the physique of a HoFer and ain't shit

He was drafted specifically for his athleticism, knowing in advance that he was changing positions and had to learn all new technique.

Vrabel might of soured on Levis when he realised what a colossal mistake they made drafting him but as Jim Wyatt confirmed it was Vrabel not Carthon that had the loudest voice in that particular draft cycle and there is no way Levis was drafted without Vrabel's ok.

Vrabel soured on Levis and the thought of being stuck in a rebuild mode with him and Carthon

I don't think that's why he wanted out though.  I think he wanted out after talking to Kraft that weekend in NE.

It's connected

Remember the weekend that Vrabel went there was after Levis had two good games (statistically Pittsburgh wasn't good but by all accounts he played well).  I really don't think it was a Levis thing as much as it was he just wanted to be in NE.

Vrabel knew without a QB it was going to be a disaster rebuilding. I totally expected Vrabel to go to NE instead of sitting out a year, I figured they had a deal in place.

Well had he gone to NE in 2024 his record would've tumbled and he would've looked bad.  That team wasn't very good.  It took their free agent spending spree in 2025, an easy schedule and Maye improving for the record to get better.

Also I think Kraft would've looked bad had he not kept Mayo for the one year because he already had a deal as the head coach in waiting.  We all know how Kraft thinks about his image over everything else.  I'm sure Vrabel was well aware of that and told he could interview if he wanted for other jobs.  He may also not have anticipated his firing in Tennessee after 2023 and told Kraft as much.

He actively caused his own firing though
