Jeremiyah Love with a 4.37s 40 and a 1.49s 10yd split.

If Borgonzi follows his Chiefs roots and philosophies they rarely use top end premium draft capital on CB.   In the last 9 drafts the Chiefs have used 1 top 80 pick on a CB.

A true game changing RB that is elite in the passing and running game can make an offense unstoppable. If you don't feel Love can be that then I get it.

Idk if he can be that. And don't take my hesitence as dislike for the player. I've been getting into his clips and I see what people see in him.

If Love is as good as Jamyr Gibbs, he is worthy of the pick. Can we agree on that?

People keep bringing up Bijan and Gibbs, but De'Von Achane was also from that draft class and the Dolphins got him in the 3rd round. The Texans drafted Will Anderson 3rd overall in that draft, one spot off from where the Titans are drafting. Here's the obvious question: if you could draft Robinson or Gibbs in the 1st or Anderson in 1 and Achane in 3, what's your pick?

I never like the "why draft player X" when "player Y" was drafted later argument. You can say that for any position. If Love makes the grade and they want him, take him.

Why draft Carnell Tate when St Brown was a 4th round pick. Nacua was a 5th round pick.

Why draft Bailey or Bain when Trey Hendrickson was a 3rd round pick. Nik Bonitto was a 2nd round pick.

Why should the Raiders draft Mendoza when Purdy was a 7th round pick

Achane is not in the same stratosphere as Gibbs IMO, and I don't see a Will Anderson in this draft. In our situation,  if there were someone in this draft the caliber of Will Anderson available at #4, I'm taking that guy. The problem is IMO, there is noone in this draft at DE that is close to Will Anderson.  I could be wrong on that, but I don't think any of these Edge/DE prospects have a Will Anderson type grade.

I don't think any of these guys are Will Anderson either. They're all more flawed coming out.

Fine, agreed. But the argument isn't flawed. It's not just about the grade of a player, it's maxing out the value of the pick in how it helps your team. If you have Love graded as the best RB, but the 2nd or 3rd RB is graded close enough that you feel comfortable enough to pass on Love to get an impact pass rusher are you seriously going to pass on the edge?

The players I mentioned were just to make a point to support the argument. We don't know how Borgonzi/Saleh and the rest grade these guys. It's extremely prematue to say these guys are/aren't this or that.

Theres no prospect of Anderson's caliber in this draft

Anderson was not a great DE prospect coming out.
