  1. 1. Where are you on Ward at this point?

    • 100% (total mulligan season, his supporting team is absolute garbage)
    • 75% (still very confident, some creeping doubts but nothing I'm worried he can't overcome)
    • 50% (He's shown enough to give us legit hope, but also shown enough for us to think he could legitimately bust out)
    • 25% (He might still be alright, but I've got major concerns that we may have made a mistake)
    • I've given up/never wanted the bum in the first place (told ya'll we shoulda traded back)

Judging him completely on his own I thought he'd be better. He's left too many plays on the field when the play was there. He's played too fast and rushed things. He's bailed the pocket and created hi

The talent around Ward really is bottom of the barrel right now. Among all of our RBs, WRs, and TEs, Dike is the only guy who should realistically be starting in the NFL.

And even then Dike would probably just be a slot WR.

He’s a great return man but he’s probably not starting for many teams in the slot.

Yeah, that's the truth.  While Dike is the best we got, he ain't great.

Hes nothing special at this point but i wonder how much better he would be with literally anything approaching 2 nfl starting level wrs out there with him.

Thanks, I needed that.  I believe when Smith said she learned at her papa's dinner table, she meant exactly what we've seen.  Win with what you got.  7-7, 8-6, 8-8, 9-7, 8-9, 9-8.  Play hard, tough football. Build D-Fence.  Steelers are from that same old school.  DEFENSE.

It no longer works for the Steelers.  They don't get blown out.  Tomlin, 19 years-1 SB.  They have good OL and DL.  If you can do that, you keep the games even without having to pay a boatload of money.

Mike Tomlin, has a good OL and DL, control the clock, win by 3pts.  The Trenches.  A major key for every team, but you have to specialize in more than that.

When a team like that has a few bad seasons, splat.  You get an all pro QB and he has no one to throw the ball.  Ridley(old).  I bet we had the worse pass catchers in the NFL to start 2025.  We have other problems as well, but a QB can't win big without some top WRs today.  Derrick had a HOF run our last three wins of 2019.  BUT when Henry was stopped, we was too.

Titans pass catchers.  2019  AJB-R, Davis, Walker.  2020- Jonnu, AJB, NWI.  2021 AJB, Julio, Hillard.

**Pull your Tanny panties out of your ass-No QB is winning it all with those pass catchers.**

Cam has Chig, Ayomanor, Ridley and Helm.  I love Helm, but they are going to have to buy some players to build a winner.  The answer is not having Cam running for first downs, slipping out of the pocket.  He's not that type QB.

Build the trenches yes.  More importantly, go after playmakers.  Stay away from retirement homes and rehabilitation centers.

We have to find out in the offseason, even if that means overpaying somebody like Alec Pierce and drafting a WR in the first. Tate and Pierce would be a good start. On the radio this morning, Rexrode mentioned Ayomanor as the most reliable pass catcher Ward has and i couldn't disagree more. I'm so over Ayomanor as anything more than a WR4 or 5.

I will

not stand for the Dike slander.

(He does need work as a WR and I firmly believe his ceiling is WR2 at best while being an electric return man)

I would prefer they try to find another guy who can be an electric return guy and let Dike just focus on WR. Like maybe Zachariah Branch.

won't you then want THAT guy to focus on WR too?  I mean. its a depth issue more than an misuse issue, right?
