Your list is so weak you included Reed?

No offense but fans always get this wrong. Players need to develop, culture needs to be formed, and you do that by playing and getting better. If it leads to wins, even better has it helps toward building something. This zero sum game of #1 pick or playoffs is one of the most annoying things to come out of fandom in the recent years. The coaches, players, and personnel guys all know the correct path here.

If not you may be entitled to compensation……

We dont need a guy tied for the 8th best pass rush win rate in the nfl? That includes edge rushers btw.  If you just compare him to his peers on the inside, he is a full 33% more efficient than the ne

Imagine this scenario.

The Titans go on some run and win 3/4 or so games. The season is over….

The Titans now sit here in March with a pitiful roster and the 13th pick in the draft.

Would anyone be happy the Titans beat the Jets, Browns and maybe the Jags to drop way down in the draft? Would those wins catapult the Titans to a promising 2026? Fuck no

Ward’s development is going to consist of way more than playing some meaningless games with a terrible supporting cast

The Jets recently had 5 picks in the 1st 2 rounds. how did that work out for them? I'd much rather the Titans go on a winning spree, not going to happen, and get a lower draft pick while guys develop into good starters than the dumb crap you and others are peddling where we root for 1-16. if Borgonzi is good at his job, he can rebuild this team without going 1-16.

Speaking of the front office knows what most important, the titans tanking the last game of the season last year with brinker at the helm doesn't put even a little damper on this narative?

Side note, you mentioned in another post that things are different this year compared to last year because we have our qb. How so if levis were to have shown out would that have been any different than if ward does?

I'm not sure how but over the last few games the pass rush has looked unexpectedly decent

The Chargers were down to their 4th and 5th OT for one thing

Yes they do. It's why they have openly talked about acquiring draft picks, 12 in the top 100 etc.... It's why they have talked about patience etc....

They totally understand

Are you on crack? This happens every year now. as soon as the season is over record wise, fans start talking about tanking and getting the highest possible draft pick. Losing the lost game of the season or more accurately, not doing everything you can to win it is very different than tanking for 8 fucking games because you want the #1 pick.

Which isn't the same as actively trying to lose games which is what you and others claim. if the Titans really were doing what you are saying, they'd start the backup QB the rest of the year and bench dike... I wonder why they don't? no I don't, I know why. If you asked Borgonzi right now, he'd tell you he's rather go 9-8 than 1-16.

No1 is talking about tanking. Iv been advocating getting all the young guys playing time like you just posted. And i really want the highest pick possible. But find me one post where i say we should be tanking.

Ward putting together a few good games in a lost season is worth as much as a shit sandwhich. If he is going to be good he is going to be good.

Sure, him tossing for 400 yarda and 3tds a gsme down the stretch while still not winning a game would be most ideal, but if that pushes us from 1st to 7th, that could really hurt.

That all said, I doubt we have to worry about any of this.

This you?

It isn't just fans. More recently teams are losing the last game/s on purpose. The Bills 100% tried to lose to the Pats last year to keep NE from getting the top pick. TB lost on purpose to get the #1 pick when they drafted Winston. The Fins did it in 2019.

They aren’t intentionally trying to lose games but the FO is increasing their odds of getting a high pick via roster construction (or lack thereof).

I’m also not sure how Aussie sees us winning two games.  They can’t  really score or shut people down at all.  They are the worst at both areas.  At least some of these bad teams are ok in one of these areas.
