rns90 Posted yesterday at 03:54 PM Report Share Posted yesterday at 03:54 PM I don’t watch enough college ball to talk about them individually so my take is just generally speaking. How big of a gap is there Bain and #2 Edge? And how much are we getting for moving down a few spots (assumption)? The answer to those questions would drive my decision to stick or pick or move down. Depends what the individual team is seeking in their specific pass rusher Bain is the best all round EDGE in terms of power/run stopping and pressures but a totally different player to guys like David Bailey and Cashius Howell who are DPR's that won't be able to consistently hold up against the run. rns90

Keep in mind that Bain likely plays on the DL, not OLB. As a pet peeve, that's why I dislike the term Edge. rns90

Yeah it’s obvious they won’t be taking a DPR guy who doesn’t have whatever the functional strength they deem is necessary very high. I hate that I’m leaning towards taking the hypothetical draft haul because this team needs so much . I mean some positions they have to totally rebuild because they have nothing there. Likely won't know whether the offer, if any, is worth it till they are on the clock.

That entirely depends on where the pick actually falls and how many out of the top QB prospects (Mendonza/Simpson/Moore) actually declare. We have seen multiple instances of teams moving up pre-draft day to position themselves for a QB (Eagles-Wentz, Jets-Darnold, 49ers-Lance) rns90

OzTitan
The Panthers have a really good OL but Dowdle suddenly turning into a big play maker is a surprise nonetheless
