No. you bogged down the discussion with an irrelevant detail that had nothing to do with the theory. Of course you would have known this had you read the books but instead you decided to focus on how it was portrayed in the show which is laughable. I would think, anyways. In the books he says he's going to lead the wildling army south (taking part in wars, a breaking of vows) and that's why they kill him. Book spoilers... the show might use scraps of this, so skip over if you feel like it. - - - In ADwD, Stannis is nearing Winterfell with a decent army including northern clans that want to save Arya (the Boltons used Sansa's childhood friend that went to King's Landing with the Starks as a stand-in for Arya since most of the people who can recognize Arya are dead... plus the girl is a northerner) from Ramsey and the Boltons. Also, Mance Rayder is alive and on a mission with Wildling women as troubadours for Ramsey's wedding. Shit happens and a "pink letter" (so named due to the Bolton pink wax) arrives at the Wall with rantings about many details only someone down there would know - including Mance and Stannis' glamoured sword Lightbringer. Theon escapes with fake Arya and Ramsey is pissed off. Jon wants to save his sister and he wants to lead a small force south to do so. Bonus: Fan theories abound that Stannis actually wrote the letter to spur more support from the Wall to better win the battle. My thinking is that Jon will have warged into Ghost preserving his self and essence and then body resurrected by Mel. Like if he was totally dead and gone she might not have been able to do it, but his ability to have warged into Ghost and still be present although body dead made it possible for her to do it.
