The Game of Thrones

The age isn't really a factor. Older ppl play younger all the time. Won't get to be enough of a difference to matter.

And there should be plenty if content. 7-8 seasons is still pretty long and they've probably got content for more than that.

Well for anyone who cares to read this, here are my (lengthy) thoughts now that I’ve had a chance to sleep on it.   I’ll start by saying I'm not sure I've ever been more hyped for an episode

I loved the fact that Theon won his fight cause he has no dick. Haha

I remember hearing they were splitting the 3rd book into seasons 3 and 4 however they seem to be out pacing that timeline to me. Anyone else agree?

That's what I was thinking but its been so long I just kinda went w/ it

HBO has said this series will go 7 seasons.  There is supposed to be 7 books, but book 3 is 2 seasons, so they will be cutting out a lot of material.

I full expect the HBO series to end before the fat bastard gets anywhere near finishing the series.  He may even die before he finishes it.

Well, they could cut out most of Dorne and House Martell from the story. So far in the books I don't see what they really add to the main story so far. Though I would love to see the Mountain vs the Red Viper.

Halfway through season 2... they've managed to make Jon Snow a whiny bitch. He was mostly my favorite character in the books but he's just petulant in the show and it makes me wonder if my reading of descriptions and such missed the mark. They've made Greyjoy somewhat of a sympathetic figure... at least to the point that I get a stronger sense of being torn and in a difficult spot that than I ever did in the books. He still have an ego and abuses women, obviously.

They've also made Jamie a sympathetic character, he may have had a good reason to kill the mad king but he still pushed a 10yr old out of a window because he saw him banging his own sister.

They do that in the books, too. He goes from evil to likeable very quickly.

This is what Martin does with his characters. Jamal is right about Snow as well. He was my favorite character other than Tyrion in the books and he hasn't translated to the screen at all.
