The guy on the turf should be in a postal worker uniform.   Kinda like this...

If I was underage you'd really love Henry then! Then you could vote for him!

Speaks more to the coaches offensive intelligence... both of whom have admitted not knowing how to use him or what they had in him.  He didn't just magically become a HOFer overnight after a single epiphanic conversation.

Whats more likely... that a failed Mulbiskie (who as mentioned admitted they were wrong about using Henry) and a first time Defensive HC (that also admitted to not knowing how to use him) were just not Offensively intelligent or open minded enough to just play the guy?....

or.....

That the all-time HS rushing champ/ legendary work ethic/ Heisman Winner/ 2000 yard college rusher with a a huge average in the SEC/HOF level player who has put up yards at an unheard of pace with Height/weight/speed numbers that are as rare as they come... that guy just became a phenom after a 5 minute conversation. ?

You seriously dont remember how any of this went down or any of the gsmes from back then do you?

I remember it all and these were my thoughts then as now. Those thoughts have also been con firmed by Mularkey and Vrabel.

There was a span where he wasnt perfuming... sure. But no RB was.

It's silly to think that a 5 minute talk changed everything. Pretty easy to see his confidence would grow as carries did

I remember watching AP rehab and do box jumps while holding two 90lb dumbbells in each hand while doing it onto pretty high boxes. It was one of the most impressive things I've seen an athlete do in training. The ease and explosion was insane.

steroids.

He also beat his child a couple times and got into multiple bar fights that off-season while his head grew  3x bigger than the year before.

He tried to bounce everything early on, hell chris johnson was far more of a north south runner than henry was. It took eddie tellign him they are thinking of trading him for it to click. And in his defense it really fucking clicked. That doesn't change the fact he was a bug roll of the dice early on.

Later in his career he would learn to take what was there and while his slow acceleration always hampered his ability with poor blocking he coule atleast gain some yardage. Those first couple years were really bad feast or famine with him, he would either gain 8+ yards or nothing.

I don't know why all the Henry homers totally deny the reality of him playing so bad and totally turning his career around.

It's actually a very impressive feat and something to behold. I can't think of a RB turning it around like that.
