Biking 20-40 miles a day 5-7 days a week works for me…low impact and lubricates the joints…

I did a fair amount of cycling last year. Got up to avg 100 mi /wk. Winter hit and I got too busy with school. I gotta get back into something. I might buy some free weights. Gym is a scam

The gym isn't a scam. I have enough stuff at my house to do most workouts but it's nothing like the multiple choices of equipment at the gym. I guess the quality of the gym also factors in.

Also I'm way more focused if I go the gym

All the gyms in my area that are worth af are overcrowded and mostly full of teens and college students hogging machines and benches.

it used to be that these types took circuit machines and you had to get in line for the bench, but now even the women are going and taking up squat machines. I’ve seen women come in and take a squat rack for an entire hour.

Just do deadlifts in the aisle in front of the squat rack, and you’ll get your turn soon enough

I love women women women as much as the next guy, but it's distracting af seeing a 20 year old chick's moose knuckle at the bottom of my squat

Honestly I think different people are motivated differently.  My brother (who is much more fit) is self motivated.  He prefers running at lunch, trail runs, and home workouts.

I like crowds.  It’s why I live in NYC.  So I enjoy a crowded gym, as long as I can eventually get my sets in.  If a girls hogging the hack squat machine for an unreasonable amount of time, that’s an opportunity for an interaction asking to get my set in.  For me that’s all part of the entertainment.

But people are different, and the right way is whatever exercise you can do consistently.
