Pointing out hypocrisy can absolutely be used to deflect and to change the subject. You're not actually providing a defense you're essentially saying "well you do it too so none of it matters". That's a deflection. Mind you, most of the examples of "hypocrisy" you pointed out aren't even hypocritical given I'm consistent on both issues. I didn't vote for Hillary based on her character, I said I didn't appreciate being lied to about Biden's mental state by KJP, and acknowledged Biden's moral failing as it relates to Robert Byrd. You never even come close to acknowledging anything like that when it comes to your side.

 

I think it's abundantly clear that you only care about my "hypocrisy" to the extent that you can use it to dismiss anything I say off-hand and alleviate the crippling feeling of cognitive dissonance you must have when trying to defend the indefensible. When I see something as indefensible, I don't defend it and if I was defending it, I stop. If you could defend Trump, you would but instead all you have is claiming everyone but Trump is lying and pointing out hypocrisy that isn't there. You asked what I wanted so I told you. Why you're inferring disrespect here is beyond me but you've been on edge since I've been coming directly at you so I'll let it slide. I don't know much about the state of this case during the Obama administration so I won't opine. As far as under Biden from what I understand the case was sealed due to Ghislaine Maxwell's ongoing appeal. That case wasn't closed until Trump closed it and at that point, the files were free for release.  Biden would have had to pressure the DOJ to do something and until Trump, presidents respected the DOJ's independence and did not direct them to do anything. Now I will say that Ro Khana has been clear in saying that the democrats in congress could've have pressured the white house and DOJ with legislation and didn't so there is definitely culpability there. Now, if you can show me that Biden personally lobbied against the release of the files like Trump did then yeah, his actions are disgusting and being cast in the lake of fire for eternity seems a fitting punishment. I've looked for any reporting that Biden did this and have come up empty. I already hate Biden for his complicity in the genocide of Gaza anyways so I'm not exactly chomping at the bit to defend him or his "legacy".

Merrick Garland was a colossal pussy that should've prosecuted Trump on day 1 not so late that an election would predictably interrupt the legal process. I don't like that the republicans stole his seat but he would've likely be an overly-cautious little bitch on the supreme court too.

Courts ordered the release of some files in '23-'24 which they did.

 

Then Trump when he got in office shut down further release. Not a surprise in hindsight as 39 people in his administration have been mentioned in them iirc.
