Patriots hiring Vrabel

LOL I'm grasping it just fine.

I know 2 things.   Vrabel had nothing to do with Tannehill's play, which dullards consistently credit him with.  Secondly, unlike you I can look at an All 22 and correctly assign praise or blame.  Those tipped ball picks and the one against Baltimore were not on the QB.

Tannehill did not his best game vs Cincy - he missed a wide open AJB that would have been a TD.  That said, he did not play nearly as bad as you idiots and the media claimed.

As for Vrabel, neither he nor Quiver Chins ever showed the ability to scout or coach QB's.  Based on the choices Vrabel did have input on, safe to say those guys never would have seen extensions in TEN.  So yeah, Tannehill in some ways did "make them" and as we all know Tannehill initiated the move to TEN because he, unlike Robinson, knew Mariota sucked.

You almost wish that Tannehill hadn’t dropped into their laps just to hear some of these excuses.

And good qb play always makes the coach look better .  Not really hard concept to grasp.

Shit, if only I could be alpha like Righteous.

Vrabel magically turned into a good coach the week Tannehill stepped in as the starter. The team was 2-4 before that. Vrabel had a losing record before that.    Anyone that watched camp and

Uh, the Titans were 6-18 in Vrabel's last 24 games   The decline started before Callahan got here

LOL - Meathead wasted 20 plays and a 2 point conversion on a gimpy Henry.  The Bengals are on film saying they know what plays the Titans are running because they are so predictable.  3rd and inches non-sneak and failed 4th down conversion....

The easy button for dullards is to act like Tannehill was Del Greco 2000.   He's not blameless but the blame has always been lopsided by a dumb fan base.

We watched the putrid 2-4 Titans literally turn into the best teams in the league overnight. The one thing that changed was the starting QB, they didn't get a new coach.

If you can't admit Tannehill played out of his mind in 2019 and 2020, you aren't worth engaging on this topic.

Tannehill played with elite efficiency during the same window Vrabel was coach of the year and Henry ran for 2k and Arthur Smith was grabbed one of the most covered jobs in football and the Titans were a legit contender.

Outside that window, only Henry is successful at far. Within that window, the usual suspects only credit Tanny while others point out shared success and credit.

Don't get it twisted, the refusal to admit success doesn't lay at my feet and Tannehill isn't the victim.

We can talk once you admit Tannehill played like a top 5 QB in 2019 and 2020. Until then, enjoy your ignorant takes.

Playing with elite efficiency isn't good enough?

Cry more croc tears, performative douche.

Derp.

I used to be better? Maybe. You certainly never were. You've always tried to pump yourself up with pretend arguments.

"I'm not willing to say he was elite but I say he played at an elite level and you're only willing to say he played with elite efficiency and that's unacceptable! We're really, really different. Argue with me!"

Pathetic.

The whole issue is this false premise that Tannehill's play was simply a product of Vrabel and Smith being offensive wizards and Henry being some magical QB genie.....and LOL trying to use 2024 as some validation that Henry was the causation.  Henry had a great year in Baltimore joining a 13 win team with a 2 time MVP QB, top 3 OL, and their spike in offensive efficiency this year was fueled mostly by Lamar's passing - something Henry has zero impact on.  If anything, Henry was a massive beneficiary of Lamar's truly elite QB play and all time great running ability.  That TD run vs the Steelers in the wild card game is a perfect example.

As for Arthur Smith as some offensive genius.....With any other QB than Tannehill has also been between bad and average.  The irony is that the resident retards were all blaming him when the 2019 offense sucked in the first six games when of course it was almost all on Mariota.

The premise that Henry is has some magical QB powers falls on it's face since it never worked with any other QB's beyond Tanny and Lamar.  Not Mariota, Gabbert, Willis, Dobbs, or Levis.  Henry was on pace for 1088 yards and a 3.7 YPC in 2019 on a 2-4 team scoring 16 PPG before they made the QB switch.  Poof - Yards/Game goes from 69 to 125 and YPC spikes from 3.7 to 5.9 and they averaged 30 PPG....

As QC, Vrabel, and Carthon systematically saw the talent level on the OL, WR, and TE drop, along with their insistence on playing the same way they did when they had excellent talent, the predictability and bottom of the league OL play got Tannehill killed and reduced Henry to a volume yard compiler.
