I’m happy.  But I’m also livid.  I’m livid that you fucking dipshits drove me to caring this much about a presidential election.  The lies.  The outright lies.  Over and over and over again.  But not just about Trump, which were most of them.  But about people that defended, if not supported him.   You actually, for a moment, made me question whether I was out of touch.  Whether I was looking past obvious flaws and being too forgiving in spite of every News outlet telling me he was the Devil and that I was a horrible person for thinking he was doing a good job.  Despite his economy.  Despite the gas prices.  Despite zero wars.  Despite the polar opposite that happened the second he wasn’t in office.  

And then you tried to imprison him.  And whatever defense I felt for him before, quadrupled.   And then you tried to kill him, and whether your party owns that or not - most of you here condoned it and wished it happened, and whatever defense I had of him before ballooned 100- fold.  And I tend to only speak for myself.  But apparently tonight I speak for America.  FUCK YOU DEEP STATE TRAITORS. 

 

Tonight proved, conclusively- Y’all are the fucking minority.  The stupid as shit minority.  Even if you somehow get him - Vance is in waiting.  And Vivek.  And Tulsi.  Sleep well Patriots.  We fucking won.

I feel every ounce of what you're talking about here but probably to a much lesser degree. I've only been here for a month or two but these guys (at least some of them) made it very clear that I'm not welcome and continue to remind me how much of a pariah I am for participating and pushing back at the slanders that came my way.  

At the end of the day, it doesn't really matter to me because I probably will never meet these guys and who knows, like you said some of them are really good people in real life. But the nature of this online forum made some of us too comfortable talking mad shit without repercussions. 

Anyway, I really hope that Trump cleans house and sets up a transparency within the government institutions.  I don't know how powerful they are and maybe they'll try to take him out again.  But this beast has gotten way outta hand and the people here are clueless as to how nefarious these people are and how much power they wield.  That bullet that almost hit Trump's head right after he turned his head is seriously nothing short of a miracle.  I had my doubts about tonight... but I think it's God's will to save our country. 

Whatever happens, it'll be interesting and I'm glad we live to see another day.

Y'all can mute me or ignore me. I don't give a shit. But I really hope some of you wake the fuck up and open your minds instead of acting like a bunch of pretentious assholes online to anyone who has the audacity to disagree with you. Sad thing is some of you probably are really kind and perfectly pleasant people in real life.  I've been wearing my MAGA hat in LA for the last three weeks and I've gotten thumbs down, stink eye, and surprised expressions. But not a single one dared to disrespect me.  In fact I've had some productive conversations with closet Trump supporters as well as some who thought my hat was racist.

So as the venerable @IsntLifeFunny once said in his infinite wisdom, "can we tone down the assholery about 20%?" starting tomorrow?  That would be great.... again.

Great post.  Don’t let my temperament paint it otherwise.  I’m fucking vindicated after the shit I’ve been through here the last 6 years.  Six fucking years of friends becoming enemies. Telling me I’m wrong.  Saying fucking terrible things about me.  Painting me as a fucking monster because I didn’t subscribe to their hivemind.  Going from one of the most respected posters here and exchanging RL info and being on podcasts and having FB friend requests to being the poster twelve people can’t dogpile the fastest.  To the point I private my social media.  To the point I unfriended these people after my real life was threatened.  Fuck them.  Fuck all of them.  Eat this loss.  This historic loss.

I didn't even know this forum existed until this year... 

I was getting ganged tackled by like ten of these guys and I was even starting to get this creepy feeling that maybe I am really weird for the thoughts and convictions that I had.  But then you came along and really put things into perspective for me. Still appreciate that. I may have gone overboard with the trolling I started to do after that day but you really liberated me from taking these guys too seriously. 

 

There are certain hills worth dying on. Standing for your convictions and freedoms is one of them. Glad we held strong 'til the end.  I know it's corny AF but it's been an honor, my friend. LOL
