abenjami
The WR who lined up wrong is the same guy who also lined up wrong in the Super Bowl last year and Mahomes had to cover his ass by throwing it to someone else on the play. It's not like this came out of nowhere. Toney is a well-known moron.

Toney lines up 3 inches back and the same play would have resulted. I hate these ticky-tack calls that have nothing to do with the outcome of a play. This isn't 'nam...there are rules. This one is a bad one to try to die on bc he was SO far off but I do think the crazy amount of detailed rules in the NFL has gotten insane.

I would say the subjective rules are the ones destroying football. These bullshit pass interference, roughing, and personal foul penalties make it almost unenjoyable to watch. heyitsmeallen
I think it’s hilarious and absolutely tone deaf from Mahomes and Reid. They have been the recipients of many many calls that bailed them out over the years including calls in both of their superbowl wins. They have had so many calls go their way that when a legit penalty costs them they whine and cry like little bitches who don’t have sportsmanship at all. Cry more you fucking babies. oldschool
whats hilarious is if Mahomes had yelled at Toney no one would care.

Everyone's ignoring the billion dollar skinny-as-fuck elephant in the room. Mahomes needs to kick Kelce in the balls and make him break up with Yoko-lite so the attention can cool off and they can get back to being all about the football. Kelce has played great since he’s been with her. She ain’t the problem. They just have dumbass receivers who can’t catch and all their running backs are pretty average. Lest we forget: Toney was the Giants’ first-round pick in 2021…and the Giants unloaded him the very next year for a couple mid/late round picks. It’s always a huge red flag whenever a team dumps their top draft pick after just one year. I’m actually surprised Toney has contributed as much as he has in KC…. As quickly as the Giants dumped him , I figured for sure he’d just fade away and be out of football entirely within a year or two. So even with his screw-ups, he’s already exceeded my extremely low expectations.

abenjami
I heard someone mention this today and it's a great point that no one is talking about. Remember the first week of the season when the Chiefs OL kept lining up wrong and it was flagged like 7-8 times? The NFL made a point to tell the Chiefs to stop cheating the line of scrimmage because other teams were complaining about it and they were going to start enforcing it against them if they kept doing it. So it's not like this came out of the blue. They were literally told to stop doing this type of stuff or it would be called.
BudsOilers
There's video of Toney checking with the line judge pre snap but the line judge on his side is not on the LOS, which Toney said he did post-game. But just a while ago, Reid claims Toney didn't check...... Edit: Toney looked left but then turned away immediately LOL....even if the side judge responded he would not have seen it. Idiot. Regardless, he was clearly egregiously offsides but the whole backtracking stuff is hilarious. My guess is that Reid doesn't want to get fined and/or piss off the refs going forward.
