Super cool. I'll ask for specific points of legislation and receipts on this, not just one off occurrences that annoy you. Seems you feel infringed by others wanting to express their own rights. Those rights may be fucking insufferable at times based on your beliefs, but they're their rights. I've already told you that I'm pretty damn centrist. Damn near libertarian if it could ever exist as a government. You're diving into to some waters where you think your rights are more important than another's. Call assholes for what they are and walk away. But your sensitivities aren't protected from other sensitivities if you truly believe in the constitution. Also, I don't want to have this conversation, so I actively avoided it and did everything I could to try and steer this thread back on track, but everyone seems like they want to have THIS conversation, so feel free to have it...without me. I'm not a conservative, I have no obligation to defend conservatives, and I give two shits about people's desires to "see receipts" or give me "specifics" so they can espouse talking points. Have at it, but I don't have the time or the inclination to dive into every little rabbit hole and dig up legislation and articles and shit just to prove something that is painfully obvious to anyone who watches TV for chrissakes. Now you've been respectful, and I acknowledge and appreciate that, it's a fair distance from other posters who harass ANYTHING they view as remotely conservative, so they can immediately attack it as fascist nazi talk. But seriously, how can we have any type of meaningful or honest discussion when THIS is the environment for it? That's their reality and starting point, and you have to argue everything from way over there. NO THANKS! I'll say it again: I'm not going to spend my day arguing with zealots whom I'll never convince and whose ONLY goal is to batter down whatever point I make through repeated changing requirements till I either give up or they can get to a talking point and declare victory. There are far more than this, and it's a direction that US politics have headed in for a while. Both sides have gone too far on a fringe issue that only impacts about 3-7% of the population while dragging the other 90% into the fray for political points. One of those can be perceived subjectively as anything the parents or individual wants, which is why it can and should be easily changed on a ss card for example. The other is biology and you aren't just asking but legally mandating or coercively forcing people to ignore objective reality in order to pander to faddish ideology.
