So let's say the very possible happens and we lose to the Panthers this week and end up with the number 2 overall pick.  Do you trade down or take a QB, WR, or OT?

I take MHJ unless I'm blown away with a trade offer.

Trade down if possible to acquire a future first +. That would be a dream scenario.

The 2017 Bears trade titanskick8851 brought up would be a dream scenario.  That lets you take your choice of OL or WR and then you have enough draft capital to move back up, or you just stack a depleted roster with BPA.  I'm all for 3-14 and a new coaching staff.

Yeppp. Or even similar to how the Goff trade helped create the spine that took us to the AFCCG. The roster is just so dire and devoid of talent that falling into pick #2 and the chance for some other team to grab QB2 off the board or MHJ might set us up with a surplus of assets than we can put around Levis.

Don’t think I’d take that plunge or the middle of the 1st.

15 was a steep fall, but I just think being in position to take any of Alt/Fashanu/Latham/Fuaga and maybe even Paul/Mims is a can't lose position (4 - ~15).

Picking up another 1 for 2025 and other additional draft capital while still adding a pillar onto the line feels like a no lose scenario.

I think if we get the #2 or #3 pick you see if you can move down to get Fashanu/Alt. I think there will be significant action for Maye and MHJ (and unfortunately taking MHJ just feels irresponsible).

If you can get down to pick #4 you can likely still get fashanu and pick up another 3rd or 2nd, which we desperately need.

But this is working under the assumption that we don’t take a QB with a top 2 pick. Levis hasn’t cemented his status as QBOF yet. Though, one more really good game and I think he will.

The GM will have a very, very difficult choice to make especially if Williams,Maye or MHJ is available when the Titans are at the podium. They really have no idea what they have with Levis and passing up on an elite QB could prove to be disastrous. Of course, not having a roster to help said quarterback is also a massive problem.  I don't envy being Ran Carthon this draft but admittedly it's such a deep draft that it provides him multiple different ways to shape the team.

I think they should probably go LT in the 1st, WR in the 2nd.

The rest of the season and how Levis performs would go a long way in deciding what to do with the 2nd pick, if they hypothetically got it

As of right now I'd take the QB in the draft

I think Maye or Williams would suck in the current situation too. Levis has a lot to like about him but I'd like to see much better decision making going forward

Levis is going to be a better QB than Maye.  I've watched a lot of his games the past couple seasons and am unimpressed.  He plays well against lesser opponents, which you would expect, but he folds when playing upper echelon defenses.  Sam Howell was a much better QB.  That dude was a beast.  I don't question Maye's arm strength or accuracy, he has that when he's not being pressured.  Get in his face and he's Jake Locker.  But he's put a lot of good stuff on film so someone will take him at 2.  I just hope it's not the Titans.
