2024 NFL Draft Discussion

Recommended Posts

24hr rule to soak in a digest the 2023 draft and then move onto the 2024 draft (seriously though just wanted a place to put the Titans current 2024 draft capital so I can reference it in the future)

Depending on whether conditions were filled on the Tyree Gillespie trade last offseason.

The Titans currently are scheduled to have

1st Round

2nd Round

4th Round

7th Round

7th Round Panthers Pick (Dennis Daley Trade)

7th Round Eagles Pick (Ugo Amadi Trade)

Hope not should be focussing on OT/WR/EDGE with the premium picks assuming we aren't in range to get any of the top QB prospects.

A couple of things I was thinking earlier:

1) The FA WR class next year looks much much better than this years

2) The WR class next year for the Draft appears to be much better and there are some studs.

With Levis on a rookie deal and all our cap space, no reason not to surround him with weapons.

Dane Brugler's way too early 2024 mock draft

5. Tennessee Titans: Dallas Turner, edge, Alabama

When scouting Anderson or other Alabama defenders, it was impossible to overlook No. 15 flying off the edge and making plays. Throw on the Texas A&M tape from last season and watch Turner go to work.

Predicted Needs following 2024 Season:

1) Wide Receiver - I think Burks will make us feel a lot better next year at this position than how we feel now

2) Edge Defender - Arden Key is probably a bridge starter, high end rotational guy.

3) Cornerback - Our two probable starters are both in contract years, and unless Caleb Farley really steps up we will need to bring in new young top end talent.

Geez the Vegas oddsmakers don't think much of the Titans ahead of the 2023 season currently have them with the 4th worst odds to win the Super Bowl and as a result the Titans have the 4th pick in the McShay way too early mock draft.

4. Tennessee Titans

Dallas Turner, OLB, Alabama*

Turner is going to take over this Crimson Tide defense next season after Anderson graduated to the NFL. He's undersized at 240 pounds, but he's quick and bendy off the edge. Turner has 12.5 sacks and 17 tackles for loss over two seasons despite starting only 12 of the 28 games he appeared in. And he has at least 25 pressures in each of those years. Tennessee brought in Arden Key, but Harold Landry III is coming off an ACL tear and Denico Autry is playing on the final year of his contract.

Impressive how early PFN has 2024 mock drafts with the Titans doing something completely mind boggling, in what world would the Titans trade away the opportunity to draft Caleb Williams if they were bad enough to be in a position to draft him.
