The thing to remember is that this defense brought Mahomes down to the level of a Malik Willis offense for 4 quarters last year.

The team can contend.  If they get lucky, they can beat anyone.

If the defense remains good and Tannehill stays healthy with better pass protection they can win the division.

Winning the division yes, doing more without Burkes and Chig taking massive steps is unlikely.

I stopped at winning the division for a reason. We have to see the final roster, there are too many current holes to make assertions beyond the division

It’s weird to me some of you guys are acting like the team is done making moves.

Off-season isn’t over yet.

Obviously but some of you need to realize the pool of available talent has drastically shrunk over the past few weeks. What's left at present are guys on par with NWI and McMath. A guy like C Davis is the best one can hope for without some crazy trade coming to fruition. With each passing day it's more likely the team drafts a WR and a TE and they roll with a super young skill position group comprised of 1st and 2nd year players.

The pool started out shallow. They could still get a proven vet through trade.

Who did you want to overpay to come here?

Yes it's was a bad year to need WRs in FA and the same is true of the draft. If you really have lurked for years here you know I don't t believe in over paying with massive contracts in FA however sometimes you have to over pay a little to get mid tier guys when you have holes to fill. The Titans have made no effort to address WR since the league year started and that's a concern.

No, I agree with you on that. And I do know you don’t generally advocate for overpaying.

I was mostly bringing it up because there didn’t seem to be anyone out there worthy of even overpaying. At this point, I’d rather just get a young guy to develop than overpay for the shit that was available.
