Jamalisms
And the whole team completely fell apart. But, yeah, if there weren't so many other warts ... in a normal year ... NFP would be borderline persona non-grata among fans. They'd be chasing him out of town, convinced he's a lost cause already.
Jamalisms
I have no problem saying Philips is basically a rookie this year. But unproven versus questionable isn't a make or break distinction for me. I can see both arguments between worrying about one more than the other. oldschool
Not sure why anyone is defending NPF. He was really bad last year. It just went largely unnoticed because Daley was all time bad. Its entirely possible NPF is not the long term answer at RT.
BudsOilers
It's reasonable to expect NPF to improve with a full year in the weight room and the experience he gained. That said, depending on how the draft shakes out, he could end up as the swing OT if they draft a guy who can play both sides at a high level along with Dillard seizing the LT spot. Thumbtack
I thought NPF played well the first half of the season, then hit the rookie wall.

Thumbtack
Well considering he didn't let up a sack until week 9 when Willis was QB for a 3rd round rookie.

I'll stay by my stance he played better in the first half of the season, I don't need to pay for a PFF subscription to tell me otherwise.

It was very obvious he struggled throughout the season. Blaming the rookie wall is incredibly lazy but you do you
Stan
Robinson really blew these last 2 seasons. Drafting Fitzpatrick over guys like Amon St brown, even Romeo Dobbs who was my sleeper pick in the later rounds watched him at Nevada guy was a stud. Trading away Brown, not trying to keep Davis or Smith. I don’t see Robinson getting another job anywhere else. I think teams know his track record is more bad than good. Other advanced metrics back it up. You have had some really basic takes the last year or so. It's a fact NPF was bad last year and no it didn't start with the rookie wall.
