I'll say it.  WTF would anyone want to acquire and pay Lamar Jackson?  He's not come close to his 2019 season production wise and for as much grief as people give guys like Tannehill, Cousins, and Dak

Lamar got tagged on March 7th before free agency opened and didn't receive the first offer.  The calendar isn't his problem.    It's his recent performance, cost, injury history, and the fac

It’s absolutely insane that teams chose solidarity over jockeying for a HOF QB in his prime. Imagine if prime Manning had come available and no one offered anything because he had high contract demands.

It wasn't just about the contract. You also had to trade for him.

I get the general consensus always says you dont care about the cost and you get the qb. But the ravens who are all around one of the best teams in the league cant get over the hump. Would the titans with lamar and no draft picks be in the hunt right now? Sure we would be more competitive but this team would still not be in the real competition for a crown.

Basically im saying trying to build a team the hard way(the right way) was a better option than trying to use lamar as a crutch for us.

Lamar had missed a lot of games and wasn't nearly the passer he has developed into the last few years when the Ravens allowed him to seek a trade.

The Ravens would never allow this with the current version of Lamar and he'd get a guaranteed contract on the open market today.

Right now he's probably the best offensive weapon in NFL history

Given that Lamar has 0 rings, was this really just a veiled argument for defense wins championships?  LOL

There is no correlation to the statement I made. Lamar is also only 27, he's likely to win one

And yes, defense does win championships

The giants should do it before they pay Danny Dimes 35 million a year.

Man. That collusion agreement must've hurt.

He had a bad year while playing hurt, but it hasn't received enough press that the league colluded to not pay Lamar Jackson to avoid setting a precedent of guaranteed contracts. Absolutely nuts that teams were willing to turn down a franchise QB to keep the NFL PA down, and then the NFL PA was in on it! The Pablo Torre episode on this is fantastic.
