Mostly just an interesting but of trivia but that's not the best track record when he "overdrafts" based on consensus ... which isn't great if that holds true because he "overdrafted" most guys this year, even if only a little.

Would be interesting to see other GMs/teams and how we compare... but even though there was like 2-3 huge misses, JRob comes out pretty even and a net positive overall.

Also, David Long wasn't even ranked? Seems insanity to me. How?

I don’t believe so

so if the Titans win 10-11 games ever year over the next 5 years but never make it out of the 1st round, you'll be okay with that?

Overall doesn't matter to me and I don't care to see other GMs. People can take what they want from it but JRob could be +100 or -100 every pick and it didn't mean anything until they play and we see if they were worth what was spent.

I just found the "overdrafts" to be an interestingly accurate subset of his picks. It doesn't mean "overdrafts" are inherently bad ... just interesting how well that part tracked.

No, but I’m smart enough not to blame the GM for it.

The idea the Titans are in a rebuild or are any less of a SB contender than they were last year is just people being wayyyy too emotional about the playoff loss and the AJB trade not to mention drinking the kool aid on how tough the AFC is.

As for the elite QB discussion, the elite group really is Mahomes, Brady, Rodgers, and perhaps you can add Allen and Wilson into it.  Teams can and do win SB's with good QB's provided they have a good overall team.

The team got 51% of snaps from AJB, 34% from Henry, 33% from Julio and the OL pass blocking was bad (28th overall).  Not to mention the WR depth consisted of NWI alone and the TE group was literally one of the least talented groups in the NFL.

People are also mistaking roster flexibility because of the contracts with a rebuild.  Guess what?  That's what teams that want to contend every year have to do.  They can't pay everyone so having young potential replacements on the roster is perfectly fine.

And back to the OP, the methodology is flawed.  Walker being the best value pick

We're not in a rebuild. The roster is always churned and rookies are added.  The core of the team remains intact

I don't understand how these idiots can say we're in a semi-rebuild. Does that term even exist? Meanwhile Colts lose Oline, DBs, QB and they're top contenders.

The takes around here are getting wild. And all because we're not in the SB.

Seriously? So you would be happy if the Titans never get over the 1st round playoff hump over the next 5-6 years as long as they win 10-11 games a year and contend for the AFC south?

I was poking fun at ctm. He’s been on the question everything Robinson train for awhile. Iowa does it with Vrabel to a much harsher degree. Jamal just needs to go for a walk…etc.

I have 2-3 reasons to believe we are in a semi-rebuild.. #1 salary cap is stretched and we need to get younger , #2 questions about the offensive line which has some new parts, but not much depth IMO, #3 we brought in an passing game co-ordinator, which usually means a system change..#4 we'd lke to be really rolling for the new stadium in '26, and lastly #5 we've started the search for a new QB, so even if the fans want to believe in Tannehill, we are preparing to move on IMO, surely the players know this also ..

I hope I'm wrong..

The Titans did not purge their roster due to salary cap issues. They simply retooled like teams in contention do every year. Its possible the rebuild of the offense comes next year if it falters but its not accurate to say that is whats taking place in 2022. I'm not even going to address the QB point beyond to say its laughable to think the team drafted a developmental project QB in the 3rd to replace Tannehill sooner rather than later.

Anyone who bothers:

"We've started the search for a new QB."

Tannehill stans:

"Yeah? You think Malik is the plan? You think that!?"

Anyone who bothers:

"What? No, I don't think that. Taking a developmental QB is part of the process but it's not the entire process."

Tannehill stans:

"I can't believe you think Malik is gonna start. So dumb. Just so dumb. Hard to even know how to address the idea that Malik is the new starter."

Anyone who bothers:

"He might never play. But taking a developmental guy is a clear pivot from what they've been doing and it comes towards the end of Tannehill's current contract. They're clearly at least looking towards the future. Who knows whether or not and when they find a better option?"

Tannehill stans:

"Look everybody, this guy thinks Malik is gonna start. Look over here! We've got a village idiot."

Winning in the post season.

I get that but it’s not like they don’t belong. They can beat anyone. Lots of good teams are gonna get beat in the playoffs because the AFC is brutal.
