Thumbtack
Is it just me or is the top end of the offensive tackle class underwhelming. I can't comfortably say I'm in love with the top 3 guys to warrant a potential top 15 selection.
AussieTitanFan08
Dane Brugler has Georgia OT Broderick Jones as his 2nd highest ranked prospect in the CFB Championship Game behind only stud IDL Jalen Carter. AvgJoe
BTiger3733
Just now seeing that this message board exists Once national draft talk gets going don't be surprised if there's discussion about Stroud at #1 overall after his performance against Georgia. He answered his single greatest question mark on the biggest stage against the best defense in the country.

Van Ness is a long/powerful EDGE that easily fits the framework of what Vrabel wants in his EDGE guys. Van Ness is going to skyrocket up draft boards. He would be a great fit here

Agreed. Skoronski, Jones, and Paris will be off the board by 19. It's possible someone has a Tyler Smith/Trevor Penning type of pre-draft that pushes them into the back of round 1. Blake Freeland is candidate for that. If he dominates at the Senior Bowl against real competition, he'll be in the 1st round discussion. Senior Bowl week will be hugely impactful for us. It's a deep OL group this year in Mobile. Should be fun

Should be fun Teams that don't emphasize run blocking are probably going to love the movement/mobility of Oklahoma OT Anton Harrison, he has all the tools to potentially turn into an elite pass protector if he can just improve his play strength. How do the potential tackles that would be available at 19 differ with the OT that would be availble at our second round pick (50 or whatever)? Are they all the same tier? If so, BPA at other spots might be a better option at 19.

After the top 3 LT (Paris Johnson Jr, Broderick Jones, Peter Skoronski) who are more likely than not to go in the top 15ish picks there is a step down to a guy like Anton Harrison who probably goes in the top 35ish picks. After those top 4 guys you go into the next tier which contain a couple of RT in (Darnell Wright and Dawand Jones) and LT/LG Cody Mauch who should all be top 45-50ish guys. The issue specifically for the Titans the 2nd tier guy Anton Harrison doesn't fit the Titans usual preference for run dominant OL he is incredibly agile but currently lacks ideal power/anchor, that would leave you looking at another FCS guy from North Dakota St Cody Mauch in the 2nd round if you want to go LT. Still think the majority of teams that don't have strict physical benchmarks will see Bryce Young as the best QB in this draft.
