On some of it, he's gone out of his way to make it worse...namely the border situation, which he seriously seems to be completely oblivious to. I really don't understand his strategy on this issue, but it's  a 200 ton albatross around his neck right now.  I think his approval number is in the 20s on that one issue, and even costing them a fairly large share of the Hispanic vote, which will be tough to earn back.

He's getting really bad advice from somebody, and every single action he has taken has worsened the problem. It's as if he's trying to inflame a civil war. I'm not sure what successful Trump policy Biden has overturned has somehow made things worse. I mean, Trump didn’t solve any problems on the border. It has been a problem for decades without end.
 

It’s only a political problem for Biden because there’s no simple fix. For Trump it was easy to look like he was doing something by demonizing Mexicans while screaming about a magical wall being paid for by Mexico to appease his supporters. For Biden he actually has to try to do something productive to stop illegal immigration while also appeasing people who are pro-immigrant. 
 

Long story short, there is no simple fix. Lots of presidents have tried but Congress refuses to pass anything that might remotely approach a solution.

Yes, Biden inherited plenty of problems. And now you expect Biden to magically fix them all despite Republicans filibustering anything Congress might do to pass a law.

It's a ridiculously difficult issue, but I think he had the cover to keep the "remain in Mexico" policy in place, especially in light of the pandemic. Removing that was a green light to hundreds of thousands of people to come. He didn't have to do that, but wanted to show what a nice guy he is/was. Someone in his inner circle should have sat him down and explained that nothing good goes unpunished, and this act was going to unleash something that would quickly get out of control.

 

He should remove Mayorkas today, get Kamala off the hook, and take ownership. Show everyone that he's taking it seriously and make it a priority.

Well the Remain in Mexico policy is actually still in effect, only due to the Supreme Court

I live in a heavily republican suburb of Houston called Kingwood (near Humble). I saw a guy today whose pickup truck had the words "Fuck Joe Biden" written on the back window.

 

I wrote down his license plate if anyone's interested: Texas plate (8E9-431). I know all of the cops in this area don't give a shit since they all agree with him, but if this guy ever had the balls to drive into the city (Houston) I wonder if any of the HPD officers there would bother pulling him over for such a disgusting display. Or maybe they all voted for Trump and don't give a shit either. 

When it looked like the first black man was going to take the Democrat nomination, the people who became Trumpists launched a ten year campaign of claiming he was lying about his place of birth, lying about his religion, was racist against white people, hated America and wanted to destroy it, etc.

Then we saw outrage over a picture of Obama putting his feet on a desk, wearing a tan suit, asking if there was dijon or spicy mustard available when ordering a hamburger. On and on.

Then they voted in Trump as revenge and behaved as badly as possible, culminating in an attempt to overthrow American democracy (downplayed by Trumpists all around, except for the ones that tried to claim that crowd was actually ANTIFA infiltrators dressed up as Trumpists). Biden won and they promised to do worse.

Of course Biden is getting "so much bullshit." It's all they'll ever give anyone who isn't a Trumpist

I don’t think you’re wholly right about the situation at hand. Inflation was always coming down the line. Our government had the largest deficit in history last year. The job situation is ahead of schedule, but yeah a lot of people are either making money under the table or are becoming entrepreneurs. Can’t blame them for that. The supply side issue is a worldwide phenomenon. I can’t blame Biden for any of that. He inherited it. 
 

I do understand you don’t think he’s a good president. That’s fine. Nothing about him deserves the type of vitriol being discussed in this thread. You can blame Dems for talking so much shit about Trump, but come on now, the guy was a spoonfed billionaire who cheated on all of his wives and was taped admitting to sexual abuse towards women. At no point did he temper his language and attempt to bring people together. He deserved not only the criticism but also the language. There’s a difference.

Besides overturning some immigration policies what policies are you talking about? 
 

I don’t think he’s demented. He’s just old. The Dems went all in on getting Trump out of office and we ended up with Biden. I don’t like it even though I think he’s a good guy. Anyways, the issues we are facing at the federal level are being felt across the world for the most part. All I’m saying is keep things in perspective and understand why the vitriol was there for Trump and why it doesn’t make sense against Biden. 
 

I will agree the language we are using when discussing politics as a whole and as a nation has sharply declined since I’ve been old enough to pay attention. Maybe it’s always been this way to a degree, but the advent of social media has given the idiots on all sides a loudspeaker.
