Alcibiades
Saffold was a decent FA get, though he's not always healthy. Did JRob get Jones, or was that before him? In any case, OL is his weakest draft area, for sure, but overall he's made us a very deep, talented team, which is amazing. No GM is perfect, but the overhaul of the defense alone deserves a lot of accolades. Back to Landry, I remember even as a rookie, a lot of us were amazed at his lean skill. He has incredible balance and the ability to lean around tackles. You can't coach that. It's a gift. But you can coach him to use it better. I thought Landry played well every year he's been here. He was close to sacks last year...he had a LOT of pressures. But we needed to cover that extra half second to turn those into sacks, which is what is happening now. Bongo59
Landry showed the Staff putting him out side in space is the way to make his quickness more deadly. The scheme change helped him more. Autry has helped Simmons most.

Jones may have been Robinson's first FA signing...

Will post a summary when I get a chance to sit down and read through it, got a free 6 month subscription through my mobile phone provider which is handy as it covers the draft period this year. titaninpgh
- amazing work ethic dating back to childhood, never into partying in college - super flexible and unselfish player who has great grasp of defense - 75% of time he is stand up pass rush, 30% of time drops into coverage, hand in the ground for 11 personnel - says he is only using speed rush half the time this year, much less than before, and only 3 of his sacks have been from speed rush - bought a big house, seems to like living here and wants to stay here - seems like an introvert but he’s very social with the team - he’s biracial (there was a section basically all about this)

And we thought Landry playing 100% of the snaps was impressive. I’m assuming they mean that he’s dropping into coverage from the stand up pass rusher position. I was just pointing out that Conklin was a far cry from some bad pick and not a success, just poor management on the contract side of things The failure was ours. We should've found a way to keep Conklin. Obviously this next point will be hindsight but the Isaiah Wilson fiasco could've been avoided entirely. In fairness he was costly and apparently had strong motivations to go to Cleveland but I think there was a path to keeping him a Titan. Oh well. Of course he was a good pick. Two time All-Pro. Unforeseen circumstances caused him to leave.
