I’m not going to trust them off the numbers they put up against Falcons and Bucs backups. That said, they clearly should be way better than last year's atrocity. I share your optimism about the defensive improvement but we can't judge the offense at all and preseason is not exactly the best way to know where you're at because no one on either side game planned against weaknesses. We should get an idea after the first couple of games. Why does it have to be about need? If your guys can cover and you can overwhelm the OL w/ a blitz, do it.
