He’ll have to take a huge pay cut to play ANYWHERE.

The impression I got listening to Rapoport on the Rich Eisen Show today is that at some point this offseason Clowney is going to sign a 1yr deal with the Browns.

I would offer a low round pick for Jarran Reed.

We badly need to get some defensive line depth. Simmons, Reed, Autry, March, and Tart sounds pretty good.

Right now we wouldn't have enough cap room to take on his current contract.

Hes looking for an extension. So between that and possibly a restructure we could make it work.

I think he'll just get cut, but would like to see him here.

Not sure where he would fit along the 3 man DL, assuming Autry is a starter. It's not like he can play nose.

Reed could definitely play multiple position on the line.  Either way we need rotation in the front seven.

He also played NT at Alabama, he can definitely handle NT at the NFL level.

NT is gonna be a cheap option. It's not gonna be a first 100 picks in the draft or cost millions of dollars.

Whose our options to sign or draft after pick 100?

He's pretty damn small for a NFL Nose Tackle.  He's best suited as a 3 technique DT in a 4-3 or DE in a 3-4.

And perhaps that's the problem.  The easiest way to disrupt an offense is immediate pressure in the face of the QB.   We paid Daquan Jones good money to play the position and get no pressure.  Perhaps spend a little money for a NT who can also get to the QB?

Jones was a 5T.... and no one expected him to generate pressure.

Not really. Look around the league at some of the guys playing NT right now. He'll be fine at NT, ill rather have him in a rotation role accross the defensive line.

Hes bigger than Tart and Murch.
