Most times Covid is NOT transmitted through facial contact but through the spread of germs on hands and then touching your face. Hand sanitizer should always be used. But most people don't carry that aound with them and forget not to touch their face because they have been doing it for years. Even reaching up to adjust your mask can spread germs to your body.

I don't know if we can say MOST times but I am surprised that this is not talked about more. Especially in an environment where common or shared items are present.

Did I read that correctly? Not even in the building for two weeks?

Sounds like it should be unrelated if the information and tracing is correct.

Aside from yesterday, the last time they had all been together as a team was on the return trip from Minnesota on 9/27.

It was reported that a few coaches were in the building on the morning of 9/28 but were quickly sent home.

The first time they were back in the building together was yesterday, 10/10.

Damn! What if all of these positive samples were taken incorrectly?

That error would be much more likely to cause a false negative than a false positive.

I also wonder what type of test they’re using. It’s hard to imagine they’re subjecting these guys to daily bilateral nasopharyngeal swabs. You’re less likely to get an adequate sample with anterior nare swab.
