I think we’ll get some of the problems ironed out as the season goes on once we get Adoree back.  But can you imagine this defense trying to stop KC right now????  Jesus Christ.  They’d have 500 yards on us.

They had over 500 yards when we beat them...

It’s an offensive league. The rules make it tough for defenses to really win consistently.

But if the front 4 pass rush of Simmons, Clowney, Landry, and Beasley can consistently rush the passer, Brown and Evans can get back to their late 2019 form, and Adoree comes back healthy then I would put the Titans among the better defenses in the league.

They just are not playing like it right now.

The Bills D is similarly struggling. They should be better but aren’t playing like it either. I’m not worried yet. Everything is favoring the offenses right now. A lot of season left

The thing is, they can.  They showed it on the final drive yesterday.  They're clearly doing better when the threat of the run is gone.  Which is typical.  But on that last drive were they rushing more than 4?  It may have even been 3 on one of the plays.

Safe to say Denver is going nowhere and he isn’t young or cheap. They would be looking to sell him.

Jeez you’re right - didn’t realize he still had 30 mil left on his contract (and they didn’t make the Jags pay squat of that + they coughed up a 4th rounder = yikes)

I think it's going to take us several more weeks to settle into the new defensive scheme and for the rookie corners to develop further.

Once we have Adoree back, we'll be ok if we don't lose another key player.

I think the defense is just going to be worse this year than last year though, that's just a given. But I think we could be better in the third down pressure department once things come together.
