Yet the HOF combo of John Brown , Cole Beasley, and Dawson Knox with a mediocre QB have outproduced the combination of Corey Davis, AJ Brown, Delanie Walker, and Adam Humphries. What is your take? That we are a run-based team with an erratic QB and insane talent at the skill positions. They are about to start hitting their stride. When we have good Mariota, they produce. When we don’t, they don’t. It’s really easy to get.

John Brown, Cole Beasley, and Dawson Knox have combined for 705 yards with Josh Allen at QB. Corey Davis (former #5 pick), AJ Brown (potential OROY), Delanie Walker (Pro Bowl TE) , and Adam Humphries (previously one of the best slots in the league) have combined for 670 yards. Please justify that . We've played Cleveland , Indy, and Atlanta and Jacksonville which was shredded by KC. Those are amazing teams? We've yet to face a winning one. Get real. Don't forget the Titans played those teams with a patchwork O-Line that included a RG off the street and a replacement LT that at best would be considered a swing tackle, and suffered the most sacks in 3 games since the early 2000s. Spain was an okay LG when there was strictly a Man/Power scheme being run in N'ville, with Russ Grimm at the helm. Throw in Keith Carter and a switch to the Zone Blocking system and suddenly he didn't fit. It's not a mystery or a conspiracy.

nine
A few thoughts after watching last week's Pats@Bills game: Josh Allen is obviously a very good running QB. As a passer.....well, let's just say he's a really good runner. His accuracy is appallingly bad.....like "Jake Locker on a bad day" bad. I can't see him ever developing into an NFL-caliber passer....but he has a cannon for an arm. His arm strength and running ability will win them a few games each year and buy him a few years in the league. But Allen isn't playing this week....enough about him. The Bills' defense is the real deal. They kept the Pats' offense in check all day long and their pressure kept Brady off-balance all day and kept him from ever finding any sort of rhythm....similar to the Pats/Titans game last year. As the saying goes, "defense travels well".....I expect they'll present a much tougher matchup than the Titans' offense faced last week in ATL. If you'll think back to last year's Titans/Bills matchup, the Bills' D squatted on the short routes and shut down the short passing game...and the Titans couldn't respond as the receivers were unable to get open deep and Mariota was either unwilling or unable to force the issue. And of course, the WR corps had their worst performance of the season, as they were directly responsible for two turnovers and two blown TD opportunities on well-thrown balls. (Also known as the infamous "Nick Williams game".) This year's receiving corps is obviously far more talented than last year's group and will be a much bigger task for the Bills' secondary. It's also worth nothing that the TE position was largely useless in last year's matchup and had not yet adjusted to the loss of Delanie Walker. Delanie is obviously back this year....and Jonnu Smith has grown into his role and is playing well. But it ultimately comes down to which version of Mariota shows up this week. Will it be the guy who makes quick decisions and gets the ball out of his hand quickly? Or will it be the guy who tries to tuck and run at the first sign of pressure? We'll see on Sunday. For the Bills' offense.....Frank Gore is still a badass and the most underrated RB in the league; he pretty much carried the Bills' offense last week. The Bills also have former Jags' RB TJ Yeldon...an average RB who's slightly above average as a receiving target. There's not a ton of film on Matt Barkley, but he's been in the league for a few years and seems reasonably capable of running an offense....moreso than Josh Allen, IMO. Barkley is definitely much more accurate than Allen...but he's still a bit spotty at times and his arm strength is probably a bit below average. Barkley strikes me as a typical backup QB....he's not particularly good in any one area, but he can play well enough to win if the defense gets lazy or sloppy. I think they play ultra conservative this week. I also think it's a good week for a STs trick play similar to last year's Byard to Cruikshank connection. Mariota went 14 of 26 last year for an INT and 0 TDs. He only took 2 sacks but he had a tough time moving the ball. Henry on the other hand went 11 for 56 and 5.09 yards a carry. This defense is vulnerable but they have to attack in the right way. They're at home. They have better weapons. Our defense is better than last year. Barkley can be goaded into mistakes and this defense is going to come after him. Frank Gore is still a beast but let him have his yards and come after Barkley. Smother them all day. The Titans simply have too much talent to lose this game and if they do, we'll all know why.
IsntLifeFunny
If I’m the Titans I’m immediately taking shots down field to Brown and Davis. Play action two man routes, Mularkey style. Back then off and hope to hit one. We will not be able to play the short passing game if we don’t back off the back 7.
Supdawg
Lets be honest, the Bills have a good defense, but playing the Pats at home is literally their Superbowl. Meanwhile the Titans have played an extremely tough schedule, including two teams we lost to that are way more talented than the Bills. Stop looking at yardage stats. They are pretty much meaningless as we have had two lopsided games we were dominating that we allowed a lot of garbage time yards. I think we come out fired up and beat the Bills by at least 10 points.

The defense is legit.
