begooode
Afaik, Trump’s tweets as presidential communications are all kept as historical records. When people reference this shit in the future, they’ll certainly draw a straight line to repub leadership, the prevailing media environment, and the electorate. The WTF chapter. I just hope it’s a short section. OILERMAN, and MadMax

I just hope it’s a short section. My favorite part was when Trump tried to have his team start deleting people from his twitter feed based on his right to privacy only to be shot down by the courts. "This case requires us to consider whether a public official may, consistent with the First Amendment, 'block' a person from his Twitter account in response to the political views that person has expressed, and whether the analysis differs because that public official is the President of the United States," Buchwald said said in her opinion. "The answer to both questions is no."

begooode
LOL at the water fetchers on this board who defend this petty pos of a prez: The White House asked the U.S. Navy to make sure a warship named for late Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) would be "out of sight" ahead of President Trump's visit to Japan over the weekend, according to an email obtained by The Wall Street Journal. The email, dated May 15, included an outline of plans for the president's arrival, including instructions for the ship. “USS John McCain needs to be out of sight,” the email reportedly read. “Please confirm #3 will be satisfied." Officials, including acting Defense Secretary Patrick Shanahan, were aware of the concern about the USS John McCain and approved measures so that it would not be visible during Trump's visit, an official told the Wall Street Journal. The ship has been stationed at the Yokosuka Naval Base near the USS Wasp, where Trump delivered Memorial Day remarks and visited U.S. officers. Before Trump's address, a tarp was hung over the USS John McCain's name and sailors were reportedly directed to remove any coverings that showed the ship's name. A barge was also reportedly moved near the ship to make it harder to see its name from the USS Wasp. https://thehill.com/homenews/administration/446076-white-house-asked-for-uss-john-mccain-to-be-out-of-sight-during Starkiller, and IsntLifeFunny 1

begooode
President Trump on Thursday defended the reported decision by military officials to obscure the USS McCain during his trip to Japan, saying whoever made the order was "well meaning." "I didn't know a thing about it. I would never have done that," Trump told reporters as he departed the White House to deliver a commencement address at the Air Force Academy in Colorado. The Wall Street Journal reported Wednesday that White House officials requested the Navy ship bearing the late senator's name be "out of sight" when Trump visited Japan over Memorial Day weekend. https://thehill.com/homenews/administration/446097-trump-whoever-moved-to-obscure-uss-mccain-was-well-meaning OILERMAN, IsntLifeFunny, and pamo9
