There's no excuses. The guys barely played this year. He played a half, got hurt, was supposed to be out a few weeks but Gabbert was concussed so he somehow beat Jax without being able to throw. Then he lit up Philly, had a rough game in Buffalo who also just shut down Watson. And last week was a disaster on a million levels.

People are going nuts over a tiny sample size.

Year 4 is not a tiny sample size.  6 games in 2016 is a tiny sample size.

Now with that said, MM will get a 5th year option because there is nothing better.

1. He's had 3 coaches

2. Receivers drop passes

3. OL is garbage

4. Inexperienced receivers

5. He's hurt

6. We don't spread the field

7. No running game

8. Bad OC

9. Ref in way

10. Bad uniforms

To save typing, just use a number in the future.

Legit excuses

In 20 games, he's thrown for 4,000 yards and 15 TDs/19 INTs.  There is no excuse.  That's bottom of the barrel replacement level production.  Either be proficient with moving the ball down the field, or efficient with scoring and not turning the ball over.  Horrible on both accounts .

Remember the first game of last year, when he threw it up and Davis came down with the ball over the defender?  Or the numerous tight window catches that he made, on the sideline or the one handed catch in the end zone?  There was little separation, but he gave him a chance, and he took advantage of it.  What happened to those throws?

A lot of the homer podcast now will say stuff like I know it sounds like I’m making excuses but...”excuses”
