wiscotitansfan Posted June 26, 2018 Report Share Posted June 26, 2018 3 years ago the Predators probably had awful fans, the best ones who followed them were likely from Detroit and would instantly switch allegiances when the Red Wings came to town. That all changed with success (and an absolutely phenomenal fan experience that owners have stressed). Now the Preds are known to be the best fans in the sport. It will always be based on bandwagon fans from the start and who gives a fuck about that. If those fans get excited enough about the team hopefully their interest will grow into fanaticism. Essentially you do no matter how small the bandwagon. There is likely some reason that you root for a team, and you choosing to root for that team is you hopping on that reason’s bandwagon (see, Lebron followers, defense lovers, or the city of Boston). For someone to not be a bandwagon in some way, they must choose to root for a team which is miserable talent wise, in a city that one has no association with, possessing a style that is not at all interesting to the fan, and possessing not a single player that the fan likes. nine Posted June 26, 2018 Report Share Posted June 26, 2018 I'm sure the Titans' fan base ranks pretty low as compared to other teams...but consider their criteria for ranking fans. 1) Fan Revenue 2) Fan support 3) participation in social media Apparently Facebook and Twitter follows are just as critical as ticket sales and fan support. The attraction to winning is an important aspect to the word. Bandwagon fans jump off the wagon when shit hits the fan. People who come to the team because of one guy, but stay for the whole team, even if/when their favorite player leaves/retires, aren't bandwagon fans. They're loyal fans.
