The crack blocks from the WRs obviously weren't working. These plays had no chance of succeeding. I don't understand the splits against a loaded box. I don't get whatever this wannabe smash mouth offense is supposed to be.

I didn't know where to put this, but I was watching Turning Point on NFLN and they featured our game. I didn't notice it in real time but on the fumble for 6 I see Ramsey made it a point to lay a big (completely unnecessary)  block on Henry at the goal line as Henry was chasing the play lol. He must have heard all of the chatter surrounding the two of them.

That became apparent when they refused to use Fowler, and then cut him loose.

Who in their right mind assembles what is supposed to be a smashmouth running game and doesn't even have a FB on the roster?

Or cuts one of the few in the league that is also a competent receiver?

Damning stuff there.  Those running plays were doomed from the start.

The counter play on the big loss is one of the worst designs I’ve ever seen. Apparently Robiskie thinks a counter step is some revolutionary thing that linebackers haven’t seen before. The only way that works is if Jack does the opposite of his job and bites so hard on the counter step that he totally loses containment. That’s likely in my top five most inept play designs I’ve ever seen.

It's laughable to suggest Mariota played well in this game. As Cossel said, he won't throw the ball when the play is there, talked about the deep post Davis ran for a potential TD. Mariota is leaving so many plays on the field it's not even funny.

Andy Benoit earlier in the year talked about coaches tell him that what fans and media don't know is when the QB misses plays by not throwing the ball. Said Kaep's biggest problem was there would be open WRs and he just wouldn't throw the ball. Mariota is def doing that this year.

Mariota's pocket presence in this game was God awful.

The one area he did better at was scrambling for positive yards when he broke down in the pocket.
