Mueller isn't an independent third party, he is a deep state hack, but it is what it is. The swamp (msm, dnc, gop) outplayed Trump and his impotent media/pr team on this one and thus he has no other choice but to travel down this road which very well may be a set-up.

You're already setting up the built in excuse, I see. Gotta be pretty bad if even you don't see a way out. Trump outplayed himself. McMaster tried to throw him a lifeboat and Trump promptly stuck a knife in it. After that no one is willing to stick their neck out for him anymore. He did this to himself.

I'm not throwing the party everyone else is. I'm not convinced that this investigation will produce iron-clad evidence of collusion with Russia. There is tons of smoke but I don't know that a smoking gun can be found. The fact that this is an independent third party will make any conclusion easier to accept. I am however very happy that one way or the other we WILL get to the bottom of this and put this Russia shit behind us.  I'm sick of hearing about fucking Russia.

I agree somewhat. tons of smoke likely not much of a fire though. Then the moron went and asked Comey to drop the investigation which is textbook obstruction of justice. As usual the cover up or attempt thereof is likely worse than the crime itself.

Twitler is active again this morning!

For a man that claims he has nothing to hide, one would think he'd welcome this investigation to clear his name. Instead he wants to whine about how it's unfair that he's being investigated.

But Hillary & Obama!!! Waah!!

Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump have vanished, not a peep in a while

Apparently Kushner is the one that pushed him to fire Comey. He better keep his mouth shut. That backfired bigly.

As someone discussed on CNN last night, the pros and cons of this investigation are:

Pros:

- Well staffed/supplied with any resources needed;

- Strong subpoena power;

- Ability to expand investigation into other areas.

Cons:

- Will only target crimes, not bad-only or unacceptable but legal behavior;

- Will not share findings with public unless indictments recommended/pursued (so no clarity for public on political damaging but non-criminal findings.)

The investigation has broad powers.   The democrats may end up regretting their demands for this.   The investigator may dig and find things regarding the unmasking, Clinton emails, Podesta and other Democrats dealing with Russians, memos between Comey and Obama, etc.

Trump has been combative his entire life. It makes him feel good when people try to bring him down. That's what happens when you have $1,000,000,000.

He's been in and out of court all his adult life. At one point, he was $150 million in the hole with hardly any way to pay it back.

But here we are.

Yeah these things usually end in them "deciding what to say they found" because the sum of all the corruption would be too great for us to stand.

I'm sure Hillary is shaking in her shoes.
