I'd include Hunter in as possible trade bait for a late round draft pick. Somebody is going to gamble in his freakish athletic ability and hope that the light turns on.

I've been impressed by Hunter this preseason. He's actually catching the ball in traffic now. It's like he all of a sudden started TRYING.

That'd be the shock of the century.

It would have to be for another "blue chip" player. Just cause he had a nice offseason/preseason, I'm not so sure they'll see his stock that safe. In my opinion, it would take a Joe Haden.

I don't think Hunter wasn't trying. I just think he was really raw coming out of college. Then he's had some injuries which delayed his development. He's not like DGB, who appeared to be unmotivated and super slow at absorbing even the most basic concepts. Hunter was always a project. I think he gets this year to show that he's worthy of keeping.

Mularkey has mentioned Hunter's confidence. I wonder if his injury and lack of solid coaching at UT hindered him when he saw how fast the game moved at pro level + the "exotic" coverages & routes? I wish I could find the quote where Mularkey basically said he had to give Hunter permission to be confident. Here it is: http://titaninsider.com/titans-mike-mularkey-justin-hunter-help-help/

He isn't a crappy back but is a bad fit for our offense.  If we keep a 4th back it should be Andrews who is a better fit.

Sankey was 5th last year in YAC and averaged 4.1 YPC, so, you could say that he has something in common with Murray and Henry.

Andrews usefulness on ST may be the deciding factor, though.

St and Pass-Pro.  The coach who manages to teach Sankey how to block in the backfield will get himself a pretty decent TB.  It would be interesting to hear what Croom has to say about Sankey's blocking this year, and whether or not he's improved.

Watching the Panthers game you could see Sankey was suddenly blocking his ass off in pass pro, esp Hunter's downfield catch from Tanney's scramble.

I think both Sankey & Cobb (fumble was huge) are gone for whatever they can get and Andrews is RB3.  If they were going to trade for a player then it should happen in the next few days, imo.  If not, the next preseason game will probably showcase Sankey & Cobb for whatever draft pick they can get.

People keep saying Sankey can do a lot of things and that he has great athleticism, but that assessment has to be based on pre-draft grades. Since coming into the NFL, Sankey has proven to be below average in most if not every category. He can't break tackles, he's not a very good receiver (surprisingly), he's not trustworthy in pass protection, and he looks slow as dirt hitting the hole. Oh, and he has a fumbling problem.

There's a pretty short half-life on what you thought about a guy in the pre-draft process. A short half-life... everywhere but fan forums.
