I think teams will regret taking VH3 over Apple...

if im drafting a gator CB I wait until next year and take Tabor

Hopefully you're not serious with that comment, no one in the history of the draft has ever executed that train of thought of targeting a college specifically

I think all the CBs are pretty comparable. They all have strengths and weaknesses. Apple, VH3, Jackson III, and Mackenize Alexander are all equal IMO. I think one of them slips to the 2nd.

This is exactly my view. It looks like he'll struggle big time versus press IMO. Teams will be able to find a way to stop his underneath routes and then he'll be in trouble. He's a good but not great route runner, and has a bit of an easy drop problem if i'm perfectly honest. A big man when it comes to contested catches, but even Leontee Caroo may be better in that area.

I think Caroo is flat out better & brings a more vertical element than Treadwell. I also think Doctson has a fairly similar style to Treadwell but has much better traits, is a great leaper & just more explosive, and better at high pointing the ball. Id also take Corey Coleman, Shephard, and Michael Thomas over him.

If we're going to take a WR then we need to take Will Fuller. We have plenty of guys with 4 gears. We need one that has a 5th gear.

He's not someone I'd take at 15, but if he were to drop to our first pick in the 2nd round I wouldn't hesitate.

We need to stick and pick defense with that first pick though.

We should draft BPA, period.  Passing on a legitimate #1 receiver because we need a RT is a recipe for disaster, and fortunately, I do not think our GM is like that.   I like DGB and hope he becomes the top receiver I think he can be....but I also think Treadwell is the top receiver, and would start over DGB on day 1.

But saying there's a BPA in the top half of Rnd1 from this year's WR crop is folly.  This is the weakest WR class I can recall in maybe forever.  The guys with speed have drop/focus issues and the guys with hands can't beat anyone to their assigned spot.

There's no Julio or Cooper or ODB this year.  Treadwell is an Mike Evans type, with slightly less speed, and not quite as much height.  DGB comes closer to the Evans mold than Treadwell, and I believe all he needs is experience.

Very few like the idea of picking need over BPA, especially if you are forced to reach to fill a need.

But with this team's needs and this year's draft, it's highly likely that there will be a player available in rnds 1 & 2 that fill a critical need(s) and are the BPA or damned close to it, with the exception of maybe OLB depth.

A BPA at OT, FS, CB and NT should all be there at some point before the end of Rnd 2, if the guy doing the picking is as good at judging players as we are believing he is.

Am I the only one who thinks Tyler Boyd is in the top 3 of this class??? If we draft a WR that isn't a speedster like Fuller, why not get the man with the best hands and by far, from what I've seen, the best route runner in this class. He's being slept on hard and I don't understand it.

I don't think he's being slept on at all.  Nobody that matters is going to dismiss that kid's production.  I think he goes early, and maybe before Treadwell.  Especially since he bumped his 40 time down to 4.5 at his pro day.

I don't know how good Treadwell will be I just don't like the idea of a WR at 15. I want this draft all about defense with a RT thrown in there... A WR and/or RB later is fine

Trust me, I'm not sleeping on him at all. I love his game. The issue is that due to his frame/iffy combine performance, he's not expected to go very high. I wouldn't say he's top 3 but he's definitely top 5 for me.

Seriously?  Like that has anything to do with anything?  Andre Hopkins (111 catches , 1500+ yards with Houston's dominant QB situation), another guy Treadwell is compared to, was picked #27 and was has been one of the best round one picks that year (by the way re-0drafts have Hopkins going top 10).  Who gives a baboons ass where a guy is taken?  It is about how good he is.  Treadwell is probably closer to Boldin IMO but again, do we go back and compare where Boldin was taken? How ridiculous.   If Treadwell is going to have a career like Boldin you take him at #15 and thank the Lord you can.  Otherwise trade back a few picks (get another 2nd or 3rd), and take Decker.

Preach it.

Mid we had a young Boldin at 15 this board would flip if we passed.

As bad as I want a #1 WR, I have to agree.
