In other countries, their greatest athletes play soccer.... as this transistions more and more, and people get to see the CJ's and Megatrons and Lebrons move to soccer, the US will have larger success on the world stage and soccer will grow. Yeah that's it. The top athletes are going to be migrating to soccer. Wasn't this supposed to happen in 1994? It's amazing that we aren't now discussing the Seattle Sounders, let by LeBron James, going up against the New England Revolution, let by Mike Trout. Are they walking through the Atlantic Ocean to get here? This is not about Mexico. I get your point about Mexico. If they are trying to float here... where else would they go? How would they float to canada safely if they can barely float to Florida? Again.. we are the only place by water they can safely go. We are also the FIRST viable place for workers if they are traveling by ground. So yeah, we are still the closest. Everyone in the third world would move to sweden if they had access. What would generate better ratings or more talk? Which team would have a more active message board? Also, NHL arenas only hold 20K. That stadium in Seattle is obviously huge.
