Legaltitan
I think Glennon is worth a 3rd round pick but not our 3rd round pick. If we were picking a later in the 3rd I'd consider it and that is just because I'd like us to draft another QB and he is as good or better than the 2nd tier guys out there. That's why we get the 6th coming back, or 5th, or whatever makes sense.
StephenIsLegend
I don't see Glennon as anything more than a back-up/stopgap like a few others, But, I also don't agree with some of you (like @Mercalius) about his situation. I think he got a raw deal. It could be more than that, but I wouldn't bet on it. New regime, and they want to start fresh with their guy.
TampaTitan
Well thanks, that clears it up. How much clearer could I be? You guys are fawning over Mike fucking Glennon. He's what Metternberger needs? If Mettenberger needs Mike Glennon to push him then he's nowhere near as good as you guys seem to think he is.

Well you didn't say what your opinion was, which you now have, and didn't list any facts or insight gained from watching every week to support your opinion. You claim to, and likely do, have more knowledge about Glennon than anyone here, yet have provided none of it.
NFLStudent
Glennon is average. Just another guy. The height of his career will be winning a Wild Card game. Another Craigslist, garage sale signing. The hope is maybe he'll play over his head and show us something we haven't seen in his 18 starts so far. I rather not. Legaltitan
Seems like if we are going to say Mett needs more opp to prove himself, and Mariota should get 3 years minimum to develop, we oughta give Glennon more than 18 starts before we write him off. big2033
I'm starting to believe that you have to be REALLY bad to not put up yards and TDs in today's NFL. 3rd down % and turnovers is a better the indicator today. Going by yards and TDs just brings confusion. We can't even decide if Glennon is any good ... meanwhile the Bucs want no part.
Titans279
In his rookie season, Glennon performed better than Mett his rookie year, in more games, but people are unimpressed with Glennon and impressed with Mett? What?
Tim
Better off drafting Mannion than trading for Glennon. At worst he's the same guy.

Maybe if he latches onto a loaded team I suppose.
NFLStudent
What's incredible is, if the Titans drafted Glennon in the 3rd round two years ago and he played the exact same way that he's played in Tampa.....he would be the unquestioned starter and franchise QB. Most would say.... "He just needs another receiver." "He needs help on defense." "He's just young. He's almost there. This will be the year when he takes over the league." Tampa see's Glennon for what he is.....average. They know Winston has potential to be better than average and that's why they are making the switch. Are they right about Winston? Who knows? But they're going to try.
scine09
Glennon has not been given a fair shot. Let's see what happens when he plays for a coach who believes in the forward pass. I think he was coming on under Schiano and unfortunately for him he played for Lovie Smith last year. Lovie Smith would tell Peyton Manning to hand it off every play if he could. He can get a team to 9-7 and then play out of his mind one weekend and beat a four or five seed in Jan. But he's not going New England or Indy and winning playoff games. What? Glennon had a good running game that year, a #1 wide out, and a line that wasn't down to 4th stringers at both tackles.

Brady will be done in a few years, and if we are going by Luck's AFC Championship game then I'm sure a good roster with Glennon at the helm would stand a fighting chance.
