He's looked the best of all rookie QB's according to people that know more than anyone on this board.

That counts for nothing?

Looking good in preseason vs 2nd and 3rd string means something esp for a 6th rounder but it doesn't mean top 5, sorry. You're drastically over valuing what he's done so far.

Not if I legitimately think he looks like a franchise QB that has that kind of talent.

It's not about who he's faced. It's about watching the guy play.

Are Adam Caplan or Greg Cosell overvaluing what he's done?

Which is part of how he's played. The game is slower when facing 2nd and 3rd stringers.

Are they saying he should've been a top 5 pick?

They're saying he's been a top rookie. Bortles was a top 5 pick. Caplan is saying he's looked better than Bortles. I don't think there are any other rookie QB's even in the conversation except maybe Garopollo.

Every single one of these guys is facing the same competition.

People need to understand.

It's this type of bullshit:

I say he goes in the top 5 probably to Cleveland at #4 just after Bortles.

That the "anti-Mett" crowd has been arguing against the entire time. There's not anyone around here that really hates Mett or doesn't want him to do well. It's just that some people around here are batshit crazy and go way too far w/ it.

Settle down people. Take it down a notch.
