Starting a sixth round rookie week 1? No wonder everyone is predicting such a bad season. His comments on what Locker did / was asked to do early last year are mostly accurate, btw. There's a decent chance Locker is hurt during preseason and can't play, and the coaches throw Mettenberger out there. I think they'd still give Whitehurst the job week 1, but let's just say it wouldn't surprise me if something crazy happened and Whitehurst couldn't play either.
