Nash
We hear in town that Palmer likes Hawkins quickness and hands .. But I've got nothing to back that story up .. That's why I was presuming tonight is a big night for Hawkins
WG53
Who was it trying to say that WR was one of our strengths? Lmao.
NoD
I think WR could be considered a strength, if we could get a full season out of Britt as a starter at some point.
Stan
Not one receiver this preseason has impressed other than maybe Hawkins with a diving catch and some key blocks.
bizzyeddie
I think WR could be considered a strength, if we could get a full season out of Britt as a starter at some point. it really all rides on Britt being a true #1. Every group of recievers needs that # 1 to take all the attention and still be able to beat it. Either that or you need an elite QB that can spread it around. NashvilleNinja
Hawkins has done enough to stick over Gage, IMO. At the very least he's as inconsistent as Gage is. But he's younger and has more potential. And he costs a whole hell of a lot less.
CMJ
Who was it trying to say that WR was one of our strengths? Lmao. I'm guilty of this. If Britt can remain on the field and keep his head out of his ass, he will be a solid #1. If Williams can reach the potential we all feel he can reach, he can be a solid #2. Granted, all of the above contain the dreaded "IF". I'm still hopeful they will produce for us.
TitansWycheck89
Yea, I saw it. That's one reason I posted. Evans also had a TD in the previous game. He's going to add a verticle element to the Ravens game that was missing last year. Did you also see that he is in a walking boot today?
charleytolar
I have to wonder about the description of Hawkins being inconsistent; the only inconsistency about him that I've seen is playing vs non-playing. Is he an inconsistent practice player?
Oiler FANatic
Hawkins has been fine. I don't know where that is coming from in this thread. But aside from that, I agree. Hawkins has done enough to stick over Gage, IMO. At the very least he's as inconsistent as Gage is. But he's younger and has more potential. Um, no he has not. He was simply horrible against the Bears, any slim chance he had of making the team is now completely gone.
notsolegato
How many practices did you go to this year?
NashvilleNinja
Um, no he has not. He was simply horrible against the Bears, any slim chance he had of making the team is now completely gone. He was not horrible last night. He had the one bad play on special teams, which I was plenty pissed at, but he caught the ball both times he was thrown to.
Stan
What does it say that Gage didn't even play? It's pretty clear that Gage is on his way out, they've seen enough of him. Hawkins is a safe bet to make the team right now.
