The underlined part were all constants before and still will be after.... The only thing I am getting from your analysis is that a single person, insiders and banks are the reason ....Sounds exactly like those pimping out cryptos have been saying all along ?
-
So you're not denying that a single person can completely alter the entire crypto market until there are regulations against it.... The entire thing I've been hearing about people screaming for decentralized currency is that one person or group doesn't have that power
-
It’s not a weak criticism at all, it’s a massive criticism.... for years everyone has been pounding their chest that the point of a decentralized currency was that it wasn’t at the whim of anyone
-
I told myself I was going to try to sell when the warning signs were there but Cardano took off this weekend when everything else dropped so had no reason to convince myself anything that I could time the market (75% of my portfolio is ADA so wasn't gonna bail when it was going up)

That's one of the funnier things I read... I had to share it with my coworkers after I searched to see if it was actually true
-
Compared to just 1 individual person's manic episodes?
-
That's the only number that actually matters in the real world when it comes to energy consumption that people care about Anything else is just "marketing", pimping out alt coins, or just your average schmoe who doesn't actually do much mining.
-
You know. A person who is willing to accomodate and negotiate should easily be able to get it done! ?
-
With how stagnant BTC has been, this would be interesting to see if its just a couple coins making their noise or a lot are catching up.
-
Still holds true!

I'm so pissed at an old coworker of mine who turned me onto it said he got in at .03.... Fucker didn't tell me to get in until .17 and took me a bit to get an account going and transfer money till it was double that.
-
Exact same way the SEC regulates the market. Just because something is global doesn't mean laws shouldn't apply
-
It's insane how people don't attack this aspect of crypto more. I'm all for the gains I've seen from crypto but a lot of people are in for a very rude awakening when this shit stops being the wild west

I say he doubles down on the environmental effects!!

Said no one ever
-
ahhhh okay, was confused cuz I know I sure as hell wasn't making that much just today
-
You keep saying that but I don't see any 1,000% increase today... as of now mine is up 122% in the past 24 hours
-
Hell, I am your average stock trader and if I were to pay the wire fee you can do that in minutes. Robinhood just must be actully that basic and amateur which is surprising that it would be THAT dumbed down to attract masses who don’t know what they’re doing (which is their purpose obviously)
-
Probably paid a lot less in fees too including paying for the wire transfer!
-
Sadly I converted a couple thousand coins recently to CRO which is the currency for the app I use cuz you get a better percentage back lol. But I’m loving it!!

Woof, scary is right that there are people that are truly that dumb and blind. As I've referred to countless times, my guess is she is very religious to just blindly follow something so fervently without using any sense of logic. -
I'm going to liquidate my portfolio

Yup, just has to do with the volatility. The losses don't count as anything if you are constantly buying and selling these swings. You can make a net of 45k easily through a couple series of timing the ups and downs. Basically it just comes to the system taxing you for all your gains, but deducting none of your losses so it taxes you for a shitton more money than you ended up walking away with. I believe that is the case and some example MAYBE is.... (not 100% certain but it's how i imagined it) If I buy GME at $50 and then decide to sell at $250, then it drops to $200 so I get back in and it goes up to $450 and sell again... but finally decide to buy back in at $400 after a little drop and BOOM it drops to $100 when I unload it for MASSIVE losses... But hey, that was a fun ride and it's going up again so I will get in at $120 and then make some more money by selling at the current $178. It takes all that money that you gained on those upswings, but because you keep buying into those swings it doesn't count the losses that you incur from the times you bought high and sold low. I don't know if those numbers are actually feasible (if they are acting as day traders, they likely have 10x as many transactions as I listed too to incur those daily losses) but I think I made enough of a point that they don't count the hundreds of thousands in losses that occured from buying back in at $400 and it dropping to $100. -
Back when Silk Road was a bigger thing and crypto was the easiest way to run transactions through it I could see that being a bigger issue for mass adoption. Since BTC is so institutionalized with government and corporate based entities investing in it who are too big to fail, that's such an afterthought these days (the biggest reason that there will be much more global regulations). I'm sure there are still lots and lots of people citing dirty money as a reason to not keep your money in crypto, but those people have a laundry list of other reasons to stay out.
-
I mean, they have been saying "We are supportive of cryptocurrencies as long as they are properly controlled and regulated" since 2017 even during shitting on BTC. Knowing that governments have to and will step into crypto is inevitable for adoption. Not saying this about you, but people would have to be pretty fucking stupid to confuse decentralized and unregulated.

Yeah, I'm sure there will probably be shit weekly to still poke fun of besides the ridiculous "HE'S SENILE!!!!" comments consume the right's entire vocabulary. He just doesn't go to twitter hourly to project to the world things that he has no clue about
